Insurgent sniper named "Juba" video on Al Jazeera killing US soldier

Posted on 01/20/2006 2:51:08 PM PST by GermanBusiness

I am not going to link to it because it is too disturbing but at Ogrish.com there is now visible the video that has been playing on Al Jazeera since January 18th where one of their reporters just happened to be ready to catch an American soldier being killed by the famous insurgent sniper "Juba". The bullet is a green tracer bullet, meaning that the killing was meant for video footage. You see the bullet fired from the right of the screen.

I have never known a country in wartime to be so liberal and leftist as the United States.

This behavior on the part of arab TV stations is completely unacceptable...and yet we are allowing this because the political opposition at home or the "arab street" might get mad if we did what Bill Clinton did to the Serbian TV station? I don't get it....and yet I do get it.

I want to see the cameraman brought to justice along with the managers who decided it needed to go on the air.

Does anyone have more information on this? The video is very disturbing.

These morons think this is Stalingrad and the war of the rats.

And what is with this Juba dude? They say he has killed more than 100 US soldiers. He is apparently a hero in the Sunni arab world? This is sick. But we're allowing it.

From Wiki:

A military commander in Iraq recently hinted that “Juba” may have been captured on June 2, 2005, when an Iraqi sniper in a van from a distance of 75-100 meters away, shot at American soldier Stephen Tschiderer, who was hit but was not seriously hurt due to his body armor. [1]. Soldiers from the unit started searching for the sniper, and spotted two of them (the sniper and the driver who video tapes the acts) the two were wounded and captured.

The army located the van from where the sniping took place and discovered a cushioned sniping nest. This nest was lined with numerous bed mattresses to muffle the sound of a Dragunov [2] sniper rifle fired through a hole just big enough for the shooter to engage his target of choice.

Too bad "White Feather" has passed away. Greatest counter-sniper in U.S. history. He would have killed the Arab muslim.

Do you mean "Juba" or the cameraman?

Or the producers who put this on TV with patriotic jihad music in the background?

I think this 'Juba' is more than one person. He/they also need to know that they cannot escape each and everytime. Sooner or later they will be on the receiving end of more whoop@$$ than they can stomach!

It is not sick, its just war. Get used to it.

I can recall a few videos that WERE linked to this forum of the enemy getting shot up or blown up by our military, without anyone calling it 'sick'. These things should be shown because they demonstrate the reality of warfare. But lets not get high and mighty about it.

I regret the loss of our soldier, but again, it is called war.

Sure... remember Jazeera had several 'corespondents' who ran with the terrorists. They'd get a call when they were going to attack something, or ambush some supplies.

They'd video tape what they could for 'documentary' footage.

Then we popped one of the freaks during one incident as they saw him pointing his camera at them (while they were under attack) and shot him in the face thinking it was a gun.

Of course they got all fired up... it was the grain of truth that spun all the 'US is targeting reporters' BS... even got that CLOWN at CNN fired for perpetuating.

But if we DO catch him, we better torture him and have an attractive female with perfume ask him questions. FAT-HEAD McStain will remove his index finger from his 'favorite' location and will wag that stinky finger at you.

THanks for that and hmmmmm A muslim sniper shooting from his vehicle 100's of yards away, sounds like a similar story here in America.............

There are 2 shots in that video ...the first one is the one that hits the soldier, and then near the end of the video there is another tracer round that comes from the same direction as the first (as a solder runs across the camera view). That means that coward Juba tried to get another soldier

No. There has never been a war where the enemy is allowed to have a television station 400 yards from an American military base...and doing this. They were playing patriotic jihad music! That is not free speech or democracy.

This doesn't fit the conception I had of a "Flypaper Strategy" where these TV stations were supposed to help motivate young idiots to go to their deaths in Iraq. If these stations are supposed to be our "false flag" operations...they are not supposed to convince young men to become accurate snipers against us. You want to convince them to become one-time-only suicides.

You mean the guy from the DC area in which the media downplayed the Muhommed angle?

We embedded reporters(and tv-cameramen) within fighting units. Lets try a little perspective. I say again, this is war.

Ogrish.com

I remember shortly after 9/11 when this site posted photos of WTC jumpers after they hit the ground. I hadn't ventured over to this site in a long, long time. Just did now. There is some seriously f'ed up stuff over there.

Not for the faint of heart.

So you wouldn't torture the cameraman to reveal more information about Jaba? I would.

Agreed. Look at that website's standard fare and you will have trouble sleeping. Your heart will beat faster for hours. It is not a place you want to go too often.

But it was interesting to see the 10 photos of what Sheik Yassin looked like after the Israelis got him.

A lot of the terrorists our guys kill end up on that site as their final resting place.

That site has some greusome stuff on it. You can see some of Tookie Williams' earlier works (pre childrens books) if you search the archive.
