Ok, this is one of those quirks... but our number of contributors & position should intersect here shortly, :-).

My kids now say the older i get the smarter i become - they are way past their teens - when I was stupid and a dork.

My kids now say the older i get the smarter i become - they are way past their teens - when I was stupid and a dork. Your kids say it because they are like me and realize how dumb they are relative. :)

I just added another CPU, only a K6-2 400MHz. It got a 3750 frame (166 point) first work unit. Estimated completion time is not listed on the win98 (F@H4.x) client that I could see in my limited time with the box. I was thinking of ditching the gui client and putting in the console version for that box, but the console version does not appear to be available for win9x.

As is said - old age and treachery will win out over youth and exuberance every time. ":^)

It's that sine wave effect of age vs perceived intelligence.
When you're really young, you think your parents are the smartest people on earth, and they think that you're the smartest kid on earth... then .... long about the time you reach 50 or so, the mutual admiration of each other's relative merits again co-incide...

Drat, gotta wait 3 hours for the stats sites to update.. I'm eager to see how the lines jump from 700 point work units. (And it drew another one, so the next one will be in 9 days... Long workunits.)
For those who are setting up remote units, may I suggest that you get a free LogMeIn.com account? You can remotely log into the computer from any browser (even do it with my pocketpc) and best of all, no cost involved (I did get one premium subscription to switch between the computers just in case I need to do file transfers while on the road, $69.95 a year.)
And I see we're on track to break 500 on the 14th at some time. Nicely done folks - now get your neighbors folding for the Gipper too! :)

Thanks all... but don't forget, there are 440,000 other points out there, that add in to the team total.
We're on track to bust 1,000,000 by the end of the month, so lets keep folding. :)

Gotta say, it's not just the points you've added. You (and several others) have educated and assisted a lot of other FReepers. Thanks.

Congrats...wanna trade places? :-)Sure. Next Tuesday, from 8am until around 11ish... Monthly staff meeting, and you can ooh and aah at the personal tales of woe, misery, and grandchildren's accomplishments that I'm forced to endure...
If you can get me excused from the monthly torture session, I'll loan you 10 CPU's for a week :)
