HYPOCRITE HARRY SAID WHAT?!?!

This morning, Matt Drudge posted an article by the Los Vegas Review Journal which quotes Senate Democrat Minority Leader Harry Reid saying that Homeland Security Chief Chertoff should resign.

Reid, D-Nev., joins Clark County Sheriff Bill Young in calling for Chertoff to step down as a result of the decision jeopardizing millions in additional federal funding that Nevada currently receives as a result of being considered a potential terrorist target.

"Anyone who can't see that Las Vegas is a high-risk area doesn't deserve to serve in a position like that," Reid said.

Does this idiot have no shame? In light of Tuesday's guilty plea issued by Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff on charges of conspiracy, fraud and tax evasion and that the National Republican Senatorial Committee names Reid as receiving at least $68,941 from him, leaves little doubt that if anyone needs to resign his leadership, it's Senator Harry Reid! If House Republican Majority Leader Tom Delay had to relinquish his leadership roll because of possible criminal impropriety, where is the same standard for the Democrats??? Hypocrite Harry Reid's got some nerve! What a total looser!!!

He is the most vile man I have ever seen. Wait, I mean, Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer are the vilest men I've ever seen.

I read, this morning, that the prosecutor in the Abramoff case , was a protege of Chertoff. Maybe Harry is trying to denigrate the prosecutor through her ties to Chertoff.

I humbly submit Helen Thomas to that list as well.

It's in the WSJ, Section A, page 4. It's very interesting. She also worked on the Whitewater case.

Risk? What risk? We don't need no stiinkin' Patriot Act so how can there be a risk to Las Vegas?

Here's an excerpt from the WSJ.

Although she just took her current post in late August, Ms. Fisher is no stranger to the Justice Department. she is a protege of Michael Chertoff, secretary of the Department of omeland Security, a former appeal-court judge and her former boss. From July 2001 to 2003, she served as his deputy when Mr. Chertoff held her (sic) position as head of the Justice Dept. criminal division.

In that role, she and her mentor participated in setting Bush Admnistration policy after the Sept. 11 2001, terrorist attacks, coordinating prosecutions of figures including John Walker Lindh ,-------.She also played a part in the ovesight role in the dept's crackdown on corporate fraud, including the probe of fallen energy titan Enron Corp.

Befor that, she worked on the Senate Whitewater investigation of the Clintons and spent six years at Latham &Watkins, a law firm where she moved up the ranks to partner and oversaw a white-collar crime practice.

----Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy, the rankining Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, among otherrs, said that Ms. Fisher and other key Justice Depatment officials will face major decisions about terrorism prosecutions and other vital criminal investigation without the benefit of any direct experience upon whic h to draw." Neither Attny Gen'l Gonzales no then-moniated Deputy Attoprney General Timothy Flanigan were prosecutors; Mr. Flanigan later withdrew his name from consideration.

Some senators, including Ted Kennedy, asked Ms. Fisher about her earlier role at the Justice Department in decidnig on interrogtation tactics used on military detainees.

So, maybe Reid and his fellow travellers are worried that Ms. Fisher is about to come down hard on them and they won't be able to tie her into such a neat package with the wire taps.

Rush says that this whole wire tap imbroglio is part of the plan that was laid out in the Rockefeller memo.
