Yes, the phony pastor is a post and run troll.
Check out jess35 defending him though.
Quite amusing.
Good point. If you are focused on winning souls for Jesus, instead of preaching tho the choir or expecting secular humanity to be more Christian, the rest takes care of itself.
Yet, at the same time, I see no harm in insisting that Christianity be accorded the respect other religions and 'lifestyles' demand daily.
Both ways are ways to stand up for Jesus.
Well put, silverleaf. Whom do you credit with giving you your gift of intelligence and an ability to express the truth in such a compelling way? Surely not the wayward founder of Kwanzaa.
BTW, is that touted as a religion?
Anyone who knows it's asisine origins and still feels obliged to say Happy Kwanzaa (or whatever the adherents expect) is, IMO, too weak to stand up against the political correctness of the MINORITY who are hellbent on taking over our country. They have enlisted in the enemy's camp and need to be verbally slapped when they open their mouths to excuse their position.
Parents who object to this ban do have the power to change this anti-Christian decision, probably made by the school board. Parents and everyone else in the community pay their salary. The school board, in fact, works for them.
If parents object to this policy of no Chrismas music allowed, they should get together and plan to drive their children to school or make up carpools to transport the kids to school.
There are ways to stand up against the anti-Christian forces pervading our country. If adults are "too busy" to care, they will be part of the ruination of a country which they enjoyed but are unwillingly to preserve for their children, grandchildren, and all who come after them.
It is a serious problem and apathetic Americans had better soon realize it.
While this may be off-subject, I relate my bad experience a couple of years ago. On my way home from having a test done at the hospital, my car was slammed into, broadside, knocking it partly off the road. Wow, what an impact! I felt that!!! Passenger side hit, only me in the car, fortunately. My seatbelt surely saved me from injuries other than that to my foot.
The other driver spoke with an accent I did not identify, and when the report was written up, I saw that her license plate read: Allah 1.
Yes, they are here in our good old USA.
Just a thought, mind you, but SOMEBODY here dislikes Hillary even more than I DO!
Some have gotten the word at the 11th hour and changed their ads. Why? Only because they don't want to take a chance on losing the almighty buck. IMO they'd call the hundreds of spruce trees "tall weeds". if that's what it took to sell them.
Stores are not necessarily trying to accommodate their Christian customer. Their goal is profits.
As I see it, if a store starts out AVOIDING the word Christmas when it is appropriate, and "switches horses in mid-stream" to enhance their sales, they need to be called on for their deceit. I would not want to buy any Christmas tree or ornament from them.
I regret that the comments made by he/she have received any attention at all.
I can't remember when this battle began but for most of my life there was NEVER any problem with Christians and Jews celebrating and respecting their own religious days.
Something happened, obviously, to bring this country to where it is today, when certain segments in the United States want to destroy the values which have made us a great country.
If we do not match the passion and the activism of these enemies, they will take this country, as we know it, away from us, our children, and all who follow. We can then blame ourselves for being the weak soldiers.
"If the earliest of Christians had to depend on government and merchants to spread the Word of God in their behalf,"
False premise, as mentioned to the phony pastor in post 50 or so.
You didn't read the thread, have you?
[...Muslims deny the deity of Christ...] Muhammed didn't. In fact Muhammed is referred to only as a prophet, where Jesus is referred to as Messiah, Prophet, Savior, Raised up, etc.
"ALLAH is HE besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. HE has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth and fulfilling that which precedes it; and HE has sent down the Torah (Law of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guidance to the people; and HE has sent down the Discrimination (judgement between right and wrong)." -- Qur'an, Surah 3:3-4
"Thereupon she pointed to him. They said, 'How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?' Jesus said, 'I am a servant of ALLAH. HE has given me the Book, and has made me a Prophet; 'And HE has made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and has enjoined upon me Prayer and almsgiving so long as I live; 'And HE has made me dutiful towards my mother, and has not made me arrogant and graceless; 'And peace was on me the day I was born, and peace will be on me the day I shall die, and the day I shall be raised up to life again.' That was Jesus, son of Mary. This is a statement of the truth concerning which they entertain doubt." -- Qur'an, Surah 19:30-35
QURAN In calling Jesus a messenger, Muhammad was also correct. He did not mean that Jesus was not the Messiah. Muhammad knew that one could be a messenger and not be a Messiah... but as The Messiah, one is also a messenger.
Jesus was both a messenger and The Messiah that Allah had promised! What is a Messiah? A Messiah is always known as "a Saviour... a liberator and a deliverer." God had promised to send one (Messiah) to pay the debt of sin for all mankind.
Appreciate the references. I will save them for future study.
Nonetheless, contemporary Muslims deny the deity of Christ.
The second Quran verse you quoted contains a supposed self-reference to Jesus as a "prophet."
What other prophet in the Bible was raised from the dead? Also, you can be a "savior" without being a deity.
You're the one drawing the false moral equivalence.
Hm... since you're so intent on us worshipping Mammon, I think I'll go to Wal-Mart and max out my credit cards and empty my bank account today. That way I won't have any left over to worship. Seeya!
[...you can be a "savior" without being a deity...]
I deified the word "Saviour". I believe this makes you correct. However, the position of Jesus is obviously higher and greater than that of Muhammed. And it puts them on the same level as the Jews in reference to Jesus.
Bogey and possible Bandit. Do we take the shot?
