She's off the chain and going to become a hazard to society soon. The woman needs to be evaluated and medicated before she hurts someone.
Ms. Sheehan is lucky that none of her children were ever accosted by a child predator. I think that would be at least one of those cases where she might want to make an exception to her rule.

Nah. Now, a dramatic ATTEMPT wouldn't surprise me, sort of the 21st century version of a fit of the vapors. You know, swallow a few pills, make a few scratches on the wrist, talk about it on Oprah for years afterward...
I don't know you, so I won't, of course, refer to you by your first name. I do want to let you know that I believe your daughter Cindy requires an immediate committment in a qualified state or private mental hospital.
Great strides have been made for management of the mentally ill, and in a few short months, or perhaps a few short years, you may well have your daughter back as good as new.
I discussed treatment options with one doctor who is a family friend and emminent psychiatrist. He suggested the nurses get Cindy all dressed up each Saturday for several months with the announcement "Alright, Cindy, we're going to go see the President today!"
Then, amidst the playing of "Hail to the Chief" by the musical group that comes to play for the ward, Cindy will be made to feel real special as she walks in circles around the ward floor for several hours until she exhausts herself.
Then, and only then, in the distance, a cardboard mockup of the President will be seen by her. As her hopes elevate, and presumably she rushes towards the prop, her doctor will appear from behind the prop and say "No, Cindy none of us can meet with the President, he is very busy running the country for all 300 million of us."
Each week, the doctor said, this routine should be repeated, followed perhaps by electric shock (which he noted could help raise funds for charitable organizations by having an auction for the shocker of the week) until Cindy understands the President is not available for her to dishonor herself and her son's memory in front of.
