Vice President Cheney: "What we're hearing now is some politicians contradicting their own statements and making a play for political advantage in the middle of a war. The saddest part is that our people in uniform have been subjected to these cynical and pernicious falsehoods day in and day out. American soldiers and Marines are out there every day in dangerous conditions and desert temperatures conducting raids, training Iraqi forces, countering attacks, seizing weapons, and capturing killers and back home a few opportunists are suggesting they were sent into battle for a lie.
The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone but we're not going to sit by and let them rewrite history. We're going to continue throwing their own words back at them. And far more important, we're going to continue sending a consistent message to the men and women who are fighting the war on terror in Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other fronts. We can never say enough how much we appreciate them, and how proud they make us. They and their families can be certain: That this cause is right
and the performance of our military has been brave and honorable
and this nation will stand behind our fighting forces with pride and without wavering until the day of victory."

Hinderaker: "It appears that the administration understands how important this battle is, and intends to wage it accordingly. The administration needs to continue delivering speeches like this on more or less an every-other-day basis for the foreseeable future. President Bush was very late to respond to the Democrats' calumnies, and it may be too late to correct the damage that's been done. But at least the administration is now mobilized and is fighting back. That, at least, is encouraging."

The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone but we're not going to sit by and let them rewrite history. Our men and women risk their lives to pound the enemy on the front. Our leaders (and we) must start pounding the enemy in this country.
We are at war...it is time we all started acting like it.
The President, Cheney and all the rest of us need to pound the left until they give up and disappear. If the truth is told regularly and loudly, the traitorous democrats will shut up. If we let them whine with no response...they just get louder.
We are all at war...we all have a roll to play.

I hope the WH stops sitting back while the MSM censors the heroic deeds our troops perform every day in Iraq. The WH Press Secretary needs to start off every press briefing with a "This is Corporal Smith and here's what he did today that will make you proud..."

We are all at war...we all have a roll to play. The dems are already out playing their (toilet) about the war. Time the GOP responded with its own "rolls to play", eh?

The left is a nail that is just asking to be hammered down.

Yep. Time to be proactive. Time to speak the truth.
Guaranteed to win public support...and chase the lily-livers into the shadows.
We need a tough talkin' WH (and it wouldn't hurt if Condi started with some straight talk of her own)..."heart of benevolence" my fanny.

Cheney piles on? This headline just sucks. The rats have been trashing this administration since 2000, and they are accused of "piling on" when they FINALLY speak out???
