The latest Rasmussen poll shows a three way race between Rudy Giuliani (26%), Condoleezza Rice (24%), and John McCain (21%). I think these numbers are somewhat striking in that Rice, who to date has shown no interest in running, is actually outpacing McCain. This is not good news for those preparing to board the Straight Talk Express, and really brings to light a deep resentment in the Bush wing of the Republican Party towards McCains well earned reputation as a maverick. Rudy Giuliani (26%), Condoleezza Rice (24%), and John McCain (21%).That's just about how each of them would fare in the South and many western states.
Go ahead though, O wise G.O.P. savants, show us purists how to keep Hillary out of the Oval Office.

That's just about how each of them would fare in the South and many western states. I disagree vehemently. Any of the three would do much better than Hillary Clinton in the South.

Giuliani is pro-abort He's a capable, effective administrator, and the abortion issue will not be decided in the Courts, not the Oval Office.

Pro-lifers, like myself will not vote for him and he needs the pro-life vote to win.
The value of a single human life beats out a "capable, effective administrator"

you are right....but what many here fail to realize that most in the country are moderate and McCain is very popular with the masses .....however, he would never win the primaries as the base if more involved in that.....I would rather see Rice or Rudy go for it.....

"Pro-lifers, like myself will not vote for him and he needs the pro-life vote to win."
Bill Clinton was not anti-abortion, therefore didn't get your vote(s), yet won.
I guess you'd rather have a democrat than republican.

I disagree vehemently. Any of the three would do much better than Hillary Clinton in the South. Out of the three, McCain would score best, but still come up short.
HRC would beat the other two. Vehement reactions aside, this is the reality of it.
If Mike Pence doesn't throw his hat into the G.O.P. '08 race, then George Allen is the only one contending that can, and would, decisively turn back HRC.

If it came down to Rudi and the Hildebeast and Rudy appointed a solid pro-life veep, as he likely would, would you still sit it out? Not me. The country can survive a pro-abort president who isn't all that militant about it and is competent in other respects. It can't survive the Islamofacist enabling feminazi Hildebeast.

You're completely wrong. HRC would lose the South to Guiliani, McCain or Rice. Actually, she'd lose to any Republican.
