New Glock Tactical Light
Me ^ | 11-11-05 | Tom Eaker

Posted on 11/11/2005 5:35:08 PM PST by Eaker

I have mounted a new tactical light to my Glock but I don't really know how to secure it properly.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Please look at the pictures and offer better ideas than a rubber band if you have any.

Thanks,
Eaker

NO, NO Son! Ya got it all wrong. Lemme tell how to mount that thing.

You turn that flamethrower upside down and mount 4 or 5 extra magazines to the stand and then you move the pistol from the empty one to a full one as needed.

Nice, but it needs a light.

Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing, hanging 'at ease' in that picture?

You could light a good cigar on that thing...

Now why didn't I think of that?

The missus might have another opinion, though.

What is the deal with women not understanding reasonable tools?

A tool that's not big enough is a waste of money. I mean, isn't it obvious to our wives that it is so much easier to mow the lawn with a 400 HP Deere tractor than a Briggs and Straton self-propelled? What is wrong with them?

Sure if you had a M2 you could bolt that thing next to you and either shoot or BLIND whomever you are shooting at :)

Actually I think it's not any larger than the IR illuminator and detector they put on the M3 Carbine during the Korean war.

I'm getting a T and E of the Gladius. Not as many candle power as this one, but much easier to keep a hold on during a tac reload.

I think the beam pattern is supposed to be better (four LEDs) and it won't make you ill unless you eat the batteries. It will make you very uncomfortable if you try and stare at it when it is in the strobe mode.

Don't you have to dry on low heat, though, so the polymer doesn't melt?

The only thing that comes to mind is Gorilla Glue or Epoxy but then it would be permanantly mounted

In all seriousness, I know a couple people that would try this for real and then go and look for a holster

Could be, but I was talking of one specific guy I used to work with.

He was a dangerous man with a dremel tool

Holster? Hell, I was thinking "track-mounted."

For a second there I thought you were talking about my beer helmets...

That is an idea.

Most that I have seen are tube fed from a central source. If we could belt feed 12ox cans with an auto-opener........ We could be rich!!!

Whoo - Hooo!

No No.. it has to require an effort to get at it or else folks will devolve into some kind of slime of use to no-one.

humblegunner's right...solve the mechanical feed first, kinda like a Side Winder cylinder with a pump action opener, but bigger
