A friend of mine is building one according to my specs (needed for a Podcast) next week. I am tired of trying to play the Stupid Computer Retailer Rebate Game.
I don't blame you. You can drive yourself crazy trying to figure out who has the best rebates, who has the most rebates, and why have rebates at all!

I've played that game several times. Next time I may have one built, if I can get it for $1000 or less.

I've found that over the last couple of years that I can buy a good computer from Dell way cheaper than I can build one.
I built one anyway. It has neon lights, plexiglass panel, 7 fans, 2 gigs of RAM and a 9800 video card. Completely unnecessary bells and whistles are lots of fun.
