Only two hours into November 2nd, and already on my third crying jag

1. Yeah, it's hard. I think the mind knows anniversary dates.

2. It was horrid last year. I wailed like a wailing, grieving woman.

7. I did that. But first I did this [photo of lib desperately praying]
Answer was no, obviously.

9. Yeah, I prayed too. Lots of people did. That's a painful part.

4. I actually hadn't noticed until I saw your thread I think at this time last year I was pouring through the final poll data trying to find a way for Kerry to win.
My low point came in the middle of the night when Battleground released their final projection with Bush winning.
I tried to be optimistic on Election Day, but the result didn't come as a complete and utter shock.

5. LC, I feel you, tovarish. I feel you.
Actually, I'm doing alright today--it was the week leading up to this that sucked like almost nothing has sucked before. Ever.
We'll get through this. Think of all the hopeful signs of positive change we've seen this week.

12. Thank you dear
I just need to let it out once in a while. Mostly the news has been good lately. I should focus on that.

14. god, has it only been a year? Seems like forever. And we have 3 to go. Sigh.
Well one of them probably would if the Presidential succession software wasn't run on a Diebold machine, with a Halliburton contractor at the keyboard.
Damn that Rove!
I love DU. They're currently trying to figure out exactly how many people Fitzgerald has to throw in jail before the chain of presidential succession falls to a Democrat.
I think it's something like 63.
---
The number's that low?
Now I won't be able to sleep tonight.
Well, lil Clarkie, as my father used to say, "Come here and I'll give you something to cry about!"
Wait until they figure out its Zell Miller.
I'm just reading and smiling and laughing and the boss was wondering what I found so humorous. So I showed him. He laughed as well.
It really is pathetic, isn't it? It's like Lucy pulling the football away from Charley Brown each year just as he's about to kick it. They never, never learn!
BTW, the current terminology over there is BFEE (Bush Family Evil Empire), you freeper troll!
Don't forget Minetta.
Oh well, we must defer to these people who are smarter and more cultured than we are. We 62 million who voted for GWB are too dumb and simple to know what is good for us. Thank Heaven for the elites to show us the way! LOL.
I for one am feeling nostalgic. We elected GW on my birthday last year! The only sniveling I'm doing today involves the fact that THIS year I'm sixty. Arrgh.
Well, Happy Birthday then.
Well, thank you!

I am done!
After reading news of CIA secret prisons, cutting legal immigrants from Food Stamp benefits, cutting foster care payments, Brownie's fashion emails...I am done. I am in a crisis of dispair! How did we come to this?
I have always been a Democrat, was raised in a Democratic family. But, I admit that sometimes I see things through rose colored glasses. I still have trouble believing the people are as horrid to each other as the Republicans seem to be to anyone that is not like them! They spout their What Would Jesus Do message, while they step on anyone different then them! I am a Christian, but can not stomach going to Church at the moment, to hear them spew hate from the pulpit. This is not the Jesus that I was taught about in childhood.
Thanks for letting me rant. If I could crawl under a rock for the next 3 years I would do it....
My nephew went cross-country and is at school in Berkley. Already liberal, I hear he's falling so far into that claptrap even his mother think's he's off the wall. He won't reply to mail/email from anyone except his Mom and his grandparents (the rest of us are conservative, and he well knows it). I wonder if he's in DU. I'll have to find out.

It's 11:38 on Nov. 2, 2005 I don't know if I will ever vote again...
I have always voted, ever since I could. I have always been a Democrat. I am still a Democrat but I don't know that I will participate in electronic voting run by corporations.
Last year, this time on Nov. 2nd I had worked the "election" as an alternate election judge (a position they still want to draft me for) I had worked for weeks prior to the "election" and I worked all day at the poll in my precinct. I came home, had some soup and tried to stay awake while the counting was done. I dozed on and off; I would wake up with a jolt and look at the TV to see the count then doze again this went on until about 2:30 that morning when I realized something was terribly wrong...that my suspicions, and those of others I knew, were right. They had stolen the second "election."
If they steal it again, we won't go quietly this time...
Will you ever vote again?
PS Forgive me ya'll but I am sad tonight.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are really tough times for the moonbats. They dread going to family gatherings with their "Repug" or "Repuke" relatives. Some of them have totally written off relatives altogether because even their moderate to liberal relations don't "get it."
My favorite holiday quote from last year went something like this: "We're not observing Thanksgiving this year because we have nothing to be thankful for. The government has given us nothing!"
Unfortunately his Mom (a libbie) had more time with him than my brother. What can you do? Just hope that the old sage "A young liberal becomes a middle-aged conservative" comes to pass.
I like "If you're not liberal when you're 20, then you have no heart. If you're not conservative when you're 40, then you have no brain." I can't remember where I first heard that.
Yes, that is the quote I was referring to.
