Riots in Paris
Conservative Thoughts ^ | November 2, 2001 | John Kuethe

Violent riots erupted in France six days ago and have continued unabated. They were initially sparked by the deaths of two Arab teenagers, in the poor, mainly Muslim suburbs of Paris, where police hesitate to venture. The despair, anger and deep-rooted criminality have become a breeding ground for Islamic extremists.

French President Jacques Chirac came out Wednesday and called for to use a firm hand to curtail what may become a "dangerous situation."

"The law must be applied firmly and in a spirit of dialogue and respect," Chirac said at a Cabinet meeting. "The absence of dialogue and an escalation of a lack of respect will lead to a dangerous situation." Chirac's remarks were passed on to reporters by government spokesman Jean-Francois Cope.

The French are now feeling the influence of decades of appeasement and lax immigration policies. Their unwillingness to fully integrate its millions of North African and black African immigrants is now beginning to manifest itself. Pay very close attention to this story as it will serve as a lesson to the rest of the West.

I have a former girlfriend who lived in Paris until local GOVERNMENT officials said they were getting complaints about a Jew living in the area, meaning her. They warned her the neighborhood was 'going Algerian' and told her they could not protect her. So France lost a PhD engineer when she left.

History tells us that te French will inevitably let the situation go until they ca not control it and the rest of the Free World comes to their rescue. That is what makes their criticism of US such a stab in the back.

The really alarming part is Chirac is a conservative relative to most of France... lol.

Problem I see with this is that Muslims have an ally with France and shouldnt be doing this. I never peg muslims as political geniouses though...

Translation: Maybe I can surrender soon. Afterall, it's only been six days of rioting.

I was wondering how long it would take for them to say it's Bush's Fault or USA's Fault!

Muslim Fundamentalists are out of control - and people (not me) are too afraid of not appearing to be PC. This will be the demise of society as we know it.

Seems like the "cycle of violence" is being taken out for a test spin in France this week. Seems like the French need to hurry up and draft a "roadmap for peace".

Seems to be a pattern here, Muslim rioting in France, Indonesia, Egypt..... But of course, it's NEVER Muslims fault. Chirac is a moron. Muslims riot in the streets, burn cars, loot stores, and he wants a dialogue with these insects? Get out the rubber bullets and tear gas.

It's pretty hysterical that people are more afraid of appearing "racist" or "religist" (is that a word?) than they're afraid of honest-to-goodness Moslem terrorism.

It's like, they rather die than to appear Politically Incorrect.

Idiots!

This is happening WAY out in the northeast and north suburbs of Paris. The RER commuter train from the airport to downtown runs through this area, and it's a spooky ride. If Paris has a "hood", this is it. The police don't really care if these loons burn the place to the ground. Just a bunch of fools fouling their own nest.

Believe me, if the Muslims try to pull this down in the tourist areas, or in wealthy Parisian neighborhoods, the French riot police will take them apart.

You have more faith in the French than I do. Their tried and tru policy of appeasement has prevented them from integrating the muslim immigrants into their society. Now they have entire communities that are little Islamo-fascist development centers. As was the case in WWI and WWII, the French will be one of the first to fall in the global war on terror.
