They fled. It was all over the news. When the bullets flew, they fled. Leaving stations, abandoning posts, forgetting duties, hundreds of police fled. When the police response to gunfire was to simply run away, the city fell into lawlessness. Pundits rushed to the airwaves, proclaiming the city’s future hopeless. When the news of Hurricane Katrina first reached Mosul, the parallels were uncanny.

Michael Yon's updates are always top-notch, too bad the MSM isn't half as good...todays "polls" would reflect entirely different sentiments IMO.

I sure hope that the Michael Yon / Bruce Willis movie project pans out and they get out a GREAT movie about our our troops!!

I read a number of his blog articles today - color me impressed. Great writing, great courage. Loved every minute of it.

Beats the cr@* out of anything one would see/hear on the CBS/NBC/ABC/MSNBC/CNN news-kabal huh!!
I watched FOX pretty exclusively while they had their embedded's there...while the reporters they had there did a great job, Michael Yon's reports are second to none.
