I received the following email a few days ago and I have to admit that it upset me. It just seemed to me as though big brother had gone too far.

LOL I AM four eyes! :o)

How's your attention to detail? Do you think you have good attention to detail? If so, here is a good test for you. There are a total of 24 differences between the two photos. I only found 6, how many can you find? the music helps you concentrate...but it didn't work very well for me...

I'm impressed that the only thing you've found to do on FreeRepublic is pimp your journal. How one could ignore the thousands of great articles to comment on is beyond me.

The business I work for requires that I get lots of personal info from customers to do business with them. Many customers call and are hesitant to give their personal info when I ask for it. But, truth be told, many times I already know the answers to my questions.

When someone calls in caller ID picks up their name and address. From that many reports are run. In the time it takes me to ask them what I can do for them and figure out what they want, I can have their name, address, date of birth, credit info, cars and VIN #'s that are registered to that address, sometimes driving record, etc in front of me. Now, to top it off, I can go to Google and get a satellite view of their house - all with just the phone # they are calling from. All legally with a major company. It always amuses me when someone refuses to give me their SSN or birthdate - I don't need it. All that's readily available. With the company I work for it is required to ask the questions anyway, so that customers don't get alarmed at how much of their personal info is not private.
