Lenin's quote comes to mind about capitalists willingly selling the rope that will hang them.

I looked into Anthony Sutton and his books several years ago while at graduate school; he is a total crank and a fraud, a conspiratorialist of the first order. He very selectively takes "evidence" that fits his "ideas" and then leaves out even more. If you want to read a solid history of the Bolshevik Revolution, I recommend Martin Malia or Richard Pipes, not Art Bell Anthony Sutton. This stuff is garbage and so is his Wall St. created Hitler bunk. He is akin to the fever swamp conspiracy mongers on our time.

The author makes a very common mistake by assuming that there was ever anything "conservative" about Big Business in this country. The reality is that Big Business and Big Government are really no different, and that small, independently-owned companies have long been the best model for political/economic conservatism in this country.

Jacob Schiff financed the "Russian" revolution. His grandson is married to Al Gores daughter. Communists like to keep it in the family.
