From BBC: Angry Indonesians have tried to break into a jail which houses convicted Bali bombers, on the third anniversary of the 2002 attacks on the island.

Hundreds of protesters are said to have stormed the prison, demanding the execution of three militants sentenced to death for their role in the attacks.

The three men - Amrozi, Imam Samudra and Mukhlas - were moved to another jail on Tuesday amid security concerns.

The bombings on 12 October 2002 killed more than 200 people.

Earlier this months, suicide bombers struck again in Bali, killing 20 people.

Correspondents say there has been an upsurge in anger on the island following the latest attacks, which have again hit Bali’s crucial tourist trade.

Hmmmmm Anything about this on the Cable News Networks? Nah why would they report this - it's good news about Muslims finally rising up against terrorism. Only if Muslims rise up against Americans do they report it and salivate after it.

I was under the impression it was a Hindu uprising in Bali. Of course, the lack of info in the press is a handicap for knowing the truth. Bali is predominantly Hindu and Indonesia Muslim.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was. The Hindu religion as well as the Christian and Jewish religions have been targets of Islamic terrorism for years. Islamic extremists want to rule the world. No matter who it is, I am glad people are starting to rise up.

I hate to bring up the McDonald's theory of war, but some people believe that countries with entangled economic interests will not go to war.

It sounds to me like AQ is getting some blowback from ordinary citizens who are losing their livlihood due to terrorism.

Took a long time for these other countries to realize it. To be honest I think they see the West rising up against terrorism and they get hope and courage from us that they can do it too.

And the barking dogs here scream and yell. Strange we don't see many replies for posts like this. Of course this goes against their world view.

The people in Bali hate terrorists. I've been there several times and in many conversations with locals they were vehement in expressing their feelings about terrorism. The terrorist attacks in Bali killed and injured more locals than tourists. I don't think you can find a person on the island that doesn't know someone that was killed or injured in one of the bombings.

Also, tourism is the life blood of Bali and the people of Bali live way better than other Indonesians because of tourist dollars. They felt the effect of the bombs long after the bombing was over.
