BETH TWITTY, mother of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, missing in Aruba, plans to meet today with an international attorney in Philadelphia to see if there is anything more she can do to find her missing daughter.

Twitty, on her way here last night in a limousine provided by businessman and philanthropist Joe Mammana, who has contributed $250,000 in reward money in Natalee's case, declined to name the attorney.

"I want to see what my options are, and how do I go about pursuing those," Twitty said.

The so-called statements that Joran made never existed except in the mind of Jossy and Beth and Jug.

What makes you say that? Do you have inside sources?

Give 'em hell Jug!

Apparently Jug did. And after that (Aug. 28), Jannsen cut him off from all information. They came back to this country to get taped statements from the three friends who accompanied them initally down to Aruba the day after Natalee disappeared. Apparently a lot was said by a lot of people and they wanted to get it in writing to be used by Aruban authorities. An American judge agreed to take the testimonies and called down for guidance on what the Aruban authorities would like to see and use. He can't even get this phone calls returned. It stinks to high heaven down there.

Instead, Janssen is concentrating on the relationships between Jug and Dave and their relationships with Natalee, etc. Plus Jug's business interests. It's despicable and I hate to see FRers join in their red-herring witch hunts. It's a corrupt system that they're trying to protect down there.

Yes, the whole thing stinks.

Other sites have tried to cast aspersions on Jug's business connections in the past. It's not about Jug and his dealings, it's about those three young guys and their dealings with Natalee.

It's like the old lawyer adage, "When you can't argue the facts, argue the law. When you can't argue the law, argue the facts. And when you can't argue either, just argue.

I didn't realize that much had been made about Jug's business dealings in the past. I just don't see how that is relevant to Natalee's disappearance.

"Strange, surely there were witnesses if this really happened"

Beth admitted that there were pictures of Natalee laying on the bar, like he said.

Oh yes, there has been so much conjecture in this case that I wouldn't be surprised if they blamed it on George Bush. ;-)

I saw pictures of an obscured Natalee standing on the bar but not lying on the bar.

I watched the interview with Beth on Current Affair last night and she said it was a possibility.

I admit I haven't been following this much the past several months. I thought initially Beth and others were casting doubt as to whether Natalee was drunk that night. Now it seems like everyone accepts that was the case. When did that change?

The interviews of her friends stated that she didn't seem drunk, but if her last drink was drugged then maybe that would be true because it hadn't taken effect. But her mom must believe they had to have done something to her for her to be going off with them and then her going in and out of consciousness while they were taking advantage of her if those statements by the guys are true.

I saw Beth with Greta the other night, and she also concedes that Natalee had sex, not only with Joran, but possibly with his two friends as well.

I think there's a public service message here for young women, should they be interested in hearing it.

I think Twitty is focused right now on finding out what happened to her daughter. In the future when that mystery is solved perhaps she will turn to the issue of personal responsibility and safety, being careful about drinking situations, traveling to foreign countries, senior trips to exotic locations, etc. She might give lectures much like those given by drunk driving survivors, about the prudence of controlling one's alcohol intake and what one does after drinking.

I understand that Beth Twitty gave a signed statement to the police within 24 hours of her arrival in Aruba, which they typed and collected.

They then brought her a Dutch language version of the statement that they said was the same as her English version, and submitted it to her early in the morning for her to sign. They had edited out all of the specific names. places, and timeline references that implicated Joran and the Kalpoes.

The whole thing was a massive stonewall, they took her out to sea and she will never be heard from again, IMO.

Repeat. This is the problem.

I would suggest Ms. Holloway tell American parents how important it is to teach their teenage girls not to get stumbling drunk and 'hooking up' with strangers in foreign lands.

Now, go crush some chestnuts. I guarantee you will get a confession.

First of all, I don't think that happened. Second of all, when have you ever known a teenager who EVER listened to their parents, no matter how much they are warned?

Well, when a teenager is given the opportunity to venture, unescorted, into harms way anything can happen. Also, if her friends are not connected as a true friend they will leave her. Notice that they left the island before they noticed that she was missing.

So, parents blew it and so did her friends. One more thing, Natalee made a bad life choice. Teach your children about cause and affect. This has been a tragic, yet good example that I have shared with my daughters.

I have also used the VCU teen as an example. We must learn from mistakes.
