I Must Defend the President and New Orleans from Katrina Smears
From Sea to Shining Sea ^ | 9/4/05 | Purple Mountains

Most of the television news channels and the political left have been hysterical in their comments about Hurricane Katrina. CNN actually committed fraud by editing out of a previous newscast the report that the President had urged local officials to evacuate New Orleans before Katrina hit. Insane claims by left-wing nuts that President Bush botched the recovery effort on purpose so as to kill black people are repeated by the Main Stream Media without analysis or perspective. Meanwhile, no one points out that it was President Bush who implored Governor Blanco to issue a first-ever mandatory evacuation order for the city, an action by the President that probably saved tens of thousands of lives.

Preaching to the choir (from my point of view anyway)

I continue to thank my lucky stars that GW Bush is in office. One unprecedented national disaster every term is more than any President has ever had to face. Thank God he is who he is and that he is the one in office rather than Gore or Kerry or the whole country could look like a scene out of the worst of what occured in N.O.

You've outlined the primary talking points of the left as the hurricane destruction is concerned, and you're correct on each point as to why they're wrong. Even more so than Iraq and weapons of mass destruction, the press is just regurgitating the left's talking points in all this. The facts you point to that dispute what we're being told have been completely ignored by the entire MSM.

I've been watching CNN and they have been spinning it against Bush all day... it's sickening.

I really don't know how there is any true objectivity with the network... more like mass hypnosis with the news crew. They're in cover up and attack mode. The most trusted name in news... for propaganda!
