Anytime your orientation to a new job involves an automatic weapon, you should be smart enough to figure out theres danger involved.
Man, I wish there was room for that in the tagline box.

To imply that they are simple kids who didnt know what they were getting into, or even worse, that they died for no reason, or an immoral reason, does a horrible thing. Indeed.
And when it's your own mother that does it...

I actually read some peoples comments about many of the soldiers over there being naive
.they werent expecting to go to war,....
...this statement alone speaks volume's of what a liberal thinks. It is NOT the soldiers who are naive.

Soldiers know, when they enlist, that it is entirely possible they will be shipped out and never come home. Its part of the job. The fact that people still walk in to recruiters offices and sign that piece of paper make them heroes. To imply that they are simple kids who didnt know what they were getting into, or even worse, that they died for no reason, or an immoral reason, does a horrible thing. It strips their sacrifice of the honor that it deserves...
Amen!

I had a left-leaning friend tell me today that people in NYC die every day in the brutal way that Nick Berg was killed. She also told me that Americans actually committed the murder.
Talk about Democratic madness...

Since the mods put this in blog, and since I think it is relevant to what jomrob is trying to do, I am going to bump it a few times. Maybe someone can throw a ping list in here.

Probably the majority of the soldiers (not the career guys/gals) in the service now enlisted AFTER 9/11 and must have been fully aware that they go to war.

Welcome to the real world. It isn't as comforting as the delusions, but it allows, often demands, real thought.

Because, long story short, we cant end this war now. That would send the message that those bastardly little terrorists have won. It doesnt matter if the adminstration told us the desert sand was made of gold, and we are going over there to collect it in little buckets to bring home, the concrete fact that we are at war doesnt change. We are there, and we have a job to finish. Weve toppled a regime that was dangerous not only to its own people, but also to the rest of the world. Now, we are there fighting the same terrorists we are fighting in Afghanistan. Weve given liberty to millions of people, and were trying to help create a government, in an area that is very volatile, that will be a bastion of freedom and hope for an entire race of people. I hate the fact that our boys are getting killed over there, and I wish it didnt have to happen. But, it is, theres nothing we can do about it, except for doing everything we can to offer support and hope to the folks fighting over there. Arguing and whining about the reasons were there, and the need to come home not only kills morale, but it is a complete waste of time.
Word. The hard left tries to distill the debate over the war into sound bites - "Bush lied!" - instead of trying to figure out how we finish the job. It is more important for them to impeach Bush than it is to win in Iraq. Bill Clinton got impeached, and dagnamit, they want Bush impeached too, the consequences to this country be damned. They don't care that their constant efforts to undermine Bush also give the insurgents hope that they can win this war politically. They just want their vengence.

"...and how weve all been lied to"
The left loves some lies.
They didn't demand CBS fire the 60 Minutes or Nightly News staff.
They didn't demand that MTV and other stop lying about "Bush's draft" when the ONLY legislation in the House and Senate was authored by leftist Democrats (who largely refused to vote for their own legislation when it was put to a vote).
When I see them out in the streets demanding non-biased journalists, I will listen to their thoughts on the administration and the war.
It is quite clear that there have been outright lies in the media. Fabricated documented.

A lot of good comments following the blog. Quite a few more Democrats who are tiring of the moonbats. As one of the comments said, where are the Moynihans's of the Democrat Party, those we could disagree with yet still respect?
The moonbats have definately taken over, and they are driving the moderates out.
