Cindy Sheehan Political Ad

The Raw Story reports on this ad (in Quicktime format) featuring Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq, who has been protesting outside of President Bush's Crawford ranch. According to the report, the antiwar group Gold Star Families for Peace will be spending $15,000 to air the ad on Crawford cable channels throughout August.

I wonder does Mrs. Sheehan understand that these liberal groups are using her loss and her grief to "pimp" her in order to further their own cause. She's making a fool of herself and a mockery of the valiant and heroic legacy that her son left upon this nation.

Sheehan's backers are betting that this $15,000 ad will be played over and over on news shows. And they are probably right. I hope it will only lead to a backlash and people will see this woman for what she is.

The ironic part to this whole saga is that her actions will embolden the terrorists and cause more mothers to feel the "pain" that she is experiencing. Also, little more than a year ago, Mrs. Sheehan wrote Bush a letter praising him on his handling of the war. She's no more than Michael Moore's and other's pawn.
