A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today called on law enforcement authorities to treat an assault this morning on a Virginia Muslim woman as a hate crime.
The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) reported that a 23-year-old Muslim woman, who is 8 months pregnant and wears and Islamic head scarf, said she was out for her morning walk in Arlington, Va., when three white men in a pick-up truck began screaming anti-Muslim and racist slurs at her. According to the victim, the men shouted, "You terrorist b- tch, go back to your country. . .You n-gger b-tch." (The woman is African-American.)
The truck drove away and then returned as the woman continued on her walk. One of the men, who was wearing military-style clothing, allegedly got out of the vehicle and began shoving the woman and preventing her from moving away. During the assault, he shouted, "You terrorist b-tch. . . We're going to kick you're a- s. . . you're nothing." The other men then called the attacker back to the truck and it sped off.
"We believe these types of incidents are the direct result of the growing level of virulent anti-Muslim rhetoric Americans are exposed to on the Internet, in newspaper editorial pages and on radio talk shows," said CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. "Our nation's political and religious leaders must begin to challenge Islamophobic hate-mongers."

I call bullhockey on this one. And this is why:
"You terrorist b-tch. . . We're going to kick you're a- s. . . you're nothing."
Unless you wrote this and made this error, then whoever DID write it is illiterate. Doesn't pass the stink test. JMHO

No, this virulent anti-Muslim rhetoric is due to the fact that Muslim's, on balance are terror oriented, are at war with us and think it's OK to kill Americans.
Unfortunately our PC government seems to have their head in the sand when it comes to this issue. They are very much engaged in a holy war against the west.

STOP the presses, CAIR who would never tell a lie, says a woman was attacked viciously by three white men.
The attack consisted three men committing the high crime of supposedly calling her a naughty name.
Next thing we know CAIR will stop the presses saying someone with towel on head viciously attacked on a train.
The attack consisted of a child staring at the oddly dressed person.
It never stops with this group of terrorist supporters.

Remember way back when name calling was free speech and just something people put up with? And you could watch a movie that wasn't riddled with the 'f' word? And they couldn't use profanity on prime time television? Somehow we've become both desensitized and hyper-sensitive at the same time.

If these events occurred as CAIR claims they did, the attackers should be prosecuted.
However, excuse me if I don't take CAIR's word for it.

Check the by-line -- it's "US Newswire", which is just a press-release circulator. You're exactly right.
The sole purpose of US Newswire is to present (for pay) press releases in a way that they appear to be legitimate news stories.

This would be so much more heart wrenching if it were a blind Pregnant Woman in Islamic Dress with 1 leg while walking her seeing eye dog and carrying the ashes of her recently departed loved one.

You know that CAIR was out with a statement within 24 hours condemning the Israeli terrorist.
I know this is a press release, but I am really tired of the media aiding and abetting CAIR.
"Military-style clothing", a pregnant Muslim woman, the guys bothering to come back to her ... call me cynical, but I've got $20 to donate to FR that says this is 100% fake.
Even if it isn't, CAIR doesn't have any credibility with me.

I don't suppose they have any evidence other than "she said", right?

It's a shame that these idiots picked on this individual for no good reason, and they absolutely need to be punished for assaulting her. But the anger and resentment that ordinary Americans rightfully have against Muslims for what happened to us on 9/11 is still there. Advocacy groups like CAIR cry victim every time one of these isolated incidents happen, but stay conspicuously silent about terrorism: that's one of the reasons why that it's difficult for the average American to take platitudes about Islam like the 'Religion of Peace' seriously.
Memo to CAIR: quit crying victim and start seriously condemning terrorism in the name of Islam and take action to assist authorities in terrorism prevention if you want to really be a relevant force for good in America.

I'm surprised she didn't mention the Confederate flag on the bumper. Well, one of them was wearing "military style" clothes. That's just as bad, isn't it?

Let's see. White guys. Check.
In a pickup truck. Check.
I'm surprised she didn't mention the Confederate flag on the bumper.
And no witnesses?
Sounds very fishy.
You forgot the rifle visible in the back window, with "3" window sticker, music blaring Toby Keith, and anything remotely related to a traditional American culture. Remember, current residents are unclean and infidels and need their heads cut off (sarc).

This whole incident (unless witnessed and a police report produced), is right out of the "Islamofacsist playbook"---lie, lie, lie and fabricate...and then lie some more!

Would everyone who believes CAIR's story raise their hands? No witnesses, no police reports, not even Al Sharpton and the msm TV crews.....
