That wasn't my intention. ALL and I mean ALL of the credit belongs to the GOP for welfare reform. Clinton opposed it till the end. He would have vetoed it a 3rd time but he thought that it would hurt his reelection. It was only when he decided that he needed to sign it that he was able to round up about 20 extra dem senators and 25 extra dem representatives to vote for it...
That's why it appears that it passed with "veto proof" majorities. But all of the credit belongs to the GOP.
Go tell Hillery that her plan didn't work and that next time she should send someone who actually understands conservatism.
Of course if they do that then they wouldn't be her mouth piece in the first place...
