That's because you wouldn't listen to your mother! ;)
I've always been quiet, mostly because I am next youngest out of seven sibs. They were (are) all VERY talented and I was so overwhelmed by it that I had an inferiority complex for years.
My sister and I are 15 months apart, and until we were 11 and 12, we had been dressed alike for the most part because we were the same size. Then I began to grow and she didn't. And I was more of an outcast than ever...but I was athletic, and that made up for a lot of the talents I didn't (don't) have. I was always the first one chosen by the captain of any of the sports I played, so that made up for the fact that I couldn't ride a horse very well...or paint, or write, or....
Anyway, I have a pretty neat family here, and I love them (you) all.
:o]
Three Years?
You don't seem shy to me. :-)
Well, I was thinking a la J. S., but Radar will do in a pinch.
Hope all are having a good weekend. I, for one, am happy NOT to be crashing a computer today; I reserve that pleasure for the office (<SARC>Monday promises to be stellar in that regard</SARC>).
Gotta run... Well, actually, the mower's gotta run; I have to walk behind it. Oops, not now, I guess. I just looked out back and the kids have got the kiddie pool full of water and are presently engaged in a battle to empty it over each others heads by the quart and half-gallon. Mind you, they didn't go out there prepared for this; not in swimsuits or anything like that. So they're in shirts and pants, just sopping wet and hurling water at each other having a ball.
I might have to join them. 8o)
Hey, I'm on FR now!
*chuckle*
Wow.
Heavy.
Good luck with the machines.
They are here to watch us and attack without warning:
The sewing machine was laying in wait for it's prey, it's bobbins salivating multi-colored thread in anticipation. It's speed control pedal quivered nervously as it's needle moved impatiently. Suddenly it spotted an unsuspecting shirt laying peacefully on the 'mending' pile.
*It sprung!*
The shirt was caught! It struggled mightily, but was overpowered by the 'active grip' dogs on the sewing machine's plate. The needle hummed to life and the shirt was done for. The thread stitched viciously in and out of the shirt as it twitched it's death throes!
Victorious, the sewing machine hummed over it's gruesome booty. Then waited for it's next victim....
LOL!
There's a LOT of that going around!
LOL!
Ditto.
I don't know about my talents. I guess I have some. And I'm not quite as "mouthy" as I was when I was younger. I can't run as fast now. ;)
They just complain endlessly until they figure out Mom is right! LOL
"...You don't seem shy to me. :-)"
I am shy. But I was in customer service for 20 years (the only way to overccome a fear is to grab it by the horns...) so I know how to get along with people.
On this thread, I can be myself. And nobody minds. :o]
Isn't it nice to find out we were just in the wrong niche?
Awwww....go join them, ya big lug!
WOW! That sounds like my sewing machine! Woo-hoo! Twins!
*snort*
The link is for Majic100, in Ottawa.
They have a wonderful "Saturday Night "70's " show. Well, I love it anyway. I'm getting off the net now, but have this playing.
Kid's are out. Bye, gotta go,enjoy if you want. :-)
Why would we mind?
We LIKE you!
G'nite.
Ahh, yes, but I am the Master Machine Controller, High Priest of Power, Guru of Gasoline, and Exalted Keeper of the Most Holy Switch. The ranks of the mechanized bow before me, for I, alone, stand as intermediary between them and The Infinite EMF.
Like showering with nice soap on a stinking hot day!
Good night. :-)

(Now THAT is effin' SCARY! I'm gonna have nightmoares because of that...for weeks. And it's all your fault!)
BWA-HA-HA-HAHA!!! That's good! You got that on your bio page?
