And I just jettisoned Nutscape 6 (the best browser for multi-voting, but little else) because it was loading so slowly, I couldn't stand it anymore.

I think you can if you use a different browser. A lot of people say Netscape is handy for vote Freeping.

----- End of Freeper crap ------

Note: This is insane and funny, the freepers post a message telling all their members to freep the msnbc.com poll then when they dont get the result they want they tell their members to cheat by deleting their cookies and vote more than once. Then they say the poll is fixed when they were the ones fixing the poll.

Have you ever seen anything so funny or sad ?

2 minute bump for 2 hours ?

Dont these people have lives ?

Are they proud of cheating (rigging) polls ?

These freepers have bump lists and ping codes and people who post how to cheat the poll etc. etc. etc. At Democratic-underground.com there are no bump lists no ping codes nobody posting how to cheat on polls. I did not even know what a bump list or a ping code was until I saw it at freerepublic.com. What kind of morons spend 2 hours doing a bump every 2 minutes ?

Moron #2 takes over when moron #1 gets tired and then moron #3 takes over when moron #2 gets tired and..........on and on and on and..........All this for a basically meaningless online poll ?

BTW Here is the official poll results:

Did the recount decision hurt the Supreme Court's credibility?

* 23356 responses

No. The ruling was a correct interpretation of the law. - 41%

Yes. The court's decision was obviously politically motivated. - 56%

I'm undecided. - 3%

Note: Can you imagine what the results would be if the poll had not been freeped ?

If they looked they would have found us FReeping polls in favor of Kerry right before the election.

FReepers only rig online, unofficial polls.

The difference between FR and DU is that we hit polls out of the goodness of our hearts, in the spirit of voluntarism. A thousand points of light, as the phrase goes.

DUers are dependent on money swilled in by George Soros and other left-wing elitists.

It's just like the polls on election day, where Republican volunteers get out the vote but Democrats buy and bus in the vote.

Also looks like conclusive proof that idiot Dems think online polls are the word of God.

I guess my voicing my opinion via online poll is somehow "cheating" or "rigging". I, like most FReepers, submit our vote and move on.

How many people really delete their cookies and vote again and again? And who says they're the only ones doing it? Isn't that a traditional tactic on the Left (only they use real ballot boxes)?

Good Morning, Philadelphia. If a system is flawed (as is most online polling software), then manipulating the flawed system to excess in an overt way is an ethical method of exposing its weaknesses, so that these polls don't gain undue credibility and that the owner of them, if previously unaware, would be no longer.

Compare and contrast this to CNN, which routinely fixes their online polls to 62% left wing answer vs. 38% right wing answer, regardless if a FReep occurs or no. This exposes another type of common flaw in online polling, which is dishonesty by the poll taker.

Just because they've got a poll dialog box doesn't mean the innards work that way. It wouldn't be difficult, for example, to have an online poll discard the vote of anyone who came to their site by way of an FR link.

I think FReeping is healthy in exposing dishonesty in online polling. An honest polling shop would make sure the software worked in a verifiable manner.
