Underneath their lead headline about the approach of Hurricane Dennis, ABC News, in their infinte wisdom, has bannered a headline that reads, "Global Warming To Intensify Hurricane Fury," which, of course, would lead one to believe -- at least according to the "learned opinion" of ABC News -- that global warming is responsible for the ferocity of Hurricane Dennis, and it hitting the same area devestated by Hurricane Ivan last summer.
Once you pull the story up, you see that it's an add-on piece that helps to bolster their position that global warming will wreak havoc over the world's weather -- a position that not all scientists find valid, contrary to what many in the media would have us believe.

Warm and wet is better than cold and dry.

It's also responsible for the cold weather and rain today in Orygun.

There was a hurricane specialist/meterologist on FNC yesterday that was asked about that and he said No - there is 30-year cycle for hurricanes - 30 years when they're not many and then 30 years where there are - we're in the cycle where there are more (as I recall, he said it began in '95)

Surprised they didn't blame the war in Iraq for this hurricane.

They are going to keep suggesting this until they sense that gullibility reigns among the population.
THEN, it will be reported as "fact".

Problem is that human beings haven't been around since the beginning of time. And since human beings are a pretty stupid lot they build their very expensive dwellings in places like coastal areas (where hurricanes end up), or along fault lines (where earthquakes happen), or near places of bountiful fuel supplies, such as trees (where enormous forrest fires occur), or teetering precariously on a cliffs (where mudslides happen), or at the base of volcanoes (where pyroclastic flows happen).
Then the dumbass humans expect those with a couple of licks of common sense to pay for their stupid, dumbass decisions.
