If I had to pick the GOP nominee today, I'd say it will be George Allen. My one area of contention with the analysis you posted is the "senator dilemma" for Allen. The reality is that Allen represents Virginia in the U.S. Senate because the state's very strict term limits law prevented him from serving more than one term as governor.
Allen is far more "presidential" than your typical U.S. Senator, and at this stage he appears to have all the right stuff -- he's from the South, he's relatively young, wears cowboy boots, and comes across as very direct and forceful as a leader.

Allen will easily get the Washington Redskin fans being the son of the former coach.

Ah, and indeed, that Allen would be facing a fellow Senator in Shillary.
I left off a lot of the people because of either 1)extremely low activity/low name recognition/or the fact that they simply have no chance in hell (Pataki).
My personal ticket is Allen/Rice.
I plan on adding and updating as players start entering and/or exiting the field.
To: pissant
Bolton, lol. He will make a good Supreme Court Justice! hah
To: Dustin Hawkins
The mere mention of McCain is blasphemous.
Giuliani is too "moderate". No on him.
Frist doesn't look presidential in my opinion.
Condi Rice. One question. Why? Until we can answer that, no on her too.
Allen - so far so good. Have to see how he works the crowd.
