Oh my gosh, I am 1000! I've always wondered what the significance of these milestone post numbers.
That's one of the things that really bothers me about all of this.
As I've mentioned previously I had stomach surgery last August for a perforated ulcer. Anytime you slice open the abdominal cavity it's major surgery. They give you a pad made from a pillow or several sheets to hold against the incision because it feels as if all of your inside are trying to get outside through the incision. Pitt said the incision was a big one. Mine is 6 inches and I couldn't have belted out show tunes to save my life. I could barely talk above a whisper because I had so much congestion from the anesthesia. That's true of most stomach surgeries and it's the reason they give you the pad to hold against the incision. They want you to cough alot to try to clear your lungs in order to avoid pneumonia.
Things just don't make sense to me based on my own experience.
That's better than what most DUers smell like.
Your hopes are fulfilled.
I have it saved.
Great, thanks.
plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose
If Andy did, in fact, have pancreatic cancer, many of the comments have been over the top. The way it was handled is quite curious, however.
I agree. William Rivers Pitt calling himself a "graveyard rat" is pretty over the top.
Interesting stuff going on at CU.
Pitt showed up and posted a couple of docs to "prove" scamdy had PC, and that 50-large were required up front.
AndyScam was there.
Bev showed up.

I'll want it too
"I nominate Barry Levinson to direct the Andy movie..."
John Waters is another Baltimore writer/director, (Hairspray, Pink Flamingoes,") who comes to mind. Although Waters might find the Andy characters too bizarre.
"My daily search for Andy Stephenson at the Baltimore Sun, The Seattle Times, and The Seattle Post-Intelligence websites has turned up nothing again."
Reporters are essentially lazy, unimaginative, they run with the herd, and their politics are as confused and ill-informed as the DUers with whom they would most likely identify.
That there is a deeper story here involving the Internet, politics, and what could become an unholy alliance between them if McCain succeeds in including the Internet in a further expansion of the McCain/Feingold Assault on the
First Amendment.
Most of the research has been done here on FR; the screen-saves of DU deletions insured that information did not disappear down the Memory Hole.
The Wall Street Journal used to do excellent, multi-part articles on subjects like this. I'd say a "Pulitzer" awaits an enterprising reporter, but am not certain that that prize is an inducement anymore, nor would the Pulitzer committee want to publicize the disturbing results of their political philosophy as acted out on DU.
