Now why do the NZ Labour pollie's antics take my mind back to Oz in the early 70's when Rex Connor tried to patch up the Whitlam government's fiscal mismanagement through the obtainment of a 4,000 million petro-dollar loan through a scum-bag named Khemlani, Jim Cairns conducted an affair with a female staffer in public, Prime Minister Gough Whitlam refused calls for an election although it was evident that the entire country had no confidence in his government, and it all fell down on the steps of Parliament on November 11, 1975 when the government was dismissed by the Governor General.
'May God save the Queen, for nothing will save the Governor General', Whitlam famously quoted, frothing in rage.
Nothing would have saved Australia had the petro-dollar loan been obtained, the socialists were prepared to sell our furture prosperity down the drain to stay in power, and Khemlani, had his efforts to act as a commission agent borne fruit, would have earned himself one hundred million dollars according to the terms of the contract.
