According to post 1,353, Joan_Alpern claims to have had dinner with Andy "the past two Saturday nights". Since she states that she saw "a different Andy Stephenson yesterday" and her post was on 5/15, one could only conclude she is referring to May 7th and 14th in her statement.

Based on her PATH statement (I'll explore more in a moment), Ms. Alpern most likely lives in New York City.

Now, unless Joan was in Ohio with Andy on May 7th, her dinner with him in NYC would be in conflict with his meeting with DUmmies in Ohio on May 7th. Which one is true?

And yes, the PATH would never be confused with an Amtrak train by anyone. The implication in her post is that they were in New York City and decided to take the PATH train to Hoboken. Hoboken is a densely populated city with somewhat cheaper rents than NYC and a lot of "artists" barging in on what was once a working class city. Hoboken has good restaurants and such but the reason it's popular with New Yorkers as of late is because you can smoke in those restaurants, unlike in NYC.

Ignoring the conflict on May 7th, let's assume Andy and "Termite" took the Amtrak from Baltimore to NYC. That in itself is typically a 3 hour trip (remember, the Acela is out of service). So should we assume Andy and Termite left Baltimore Saturday morning, met with Joan in NYC and then off to see "bettyellen" in Hoboken and then back to New York Penn station to take a 3 hour trip back to Baltimore (waking up MissWaverly since they would be returning after midnight I would imagine). That would be pretty exhausting for a person in fine physical health, much less with serious cancer issues.

Or did Andy and Termite stay in NYC until Sunday morning (5/15) and take the Amtrak back to Baltimore. I don't even want to speculate if they came to NYC on Thursday (5/12) or Friday (5/13) last week when a bridge fire in Meadowlands caused Amtrak to cancel many trains into NYC!

In any case, it would probably have made more sense for Joan_Alpern and bettyellen to get together and take an Amtrak to Baltimore and preserve Andy's wealth as well as his health.

Go figure.
