There is not a chance in hell of a Bush impeachment yet the DUmmie Moon Bats are already arguing what type of punishment should be given to Bush after he is forcibly removed from office. Yeah, this will surely happen BUT only in the DUmmie Alternate Reality. Meanwhile it must really suck bigtime for DUmmies to be living in the REAL reality where nothing is going right for the DUmmies. Worst of all, is the fact that these ardent DUmmies, burning for revenge, are being consistently MOCKED on a certain popular Blog featuring a cigar-smoking beaver. Their fear is that of losing their illusions by which they lead their lives. Gun control will work, evidence to the contrary be damned. Public schools will work, evidence to the contrary be damned as well. War is always wrong even if it liberates a country from tyranny and results in a net saving of life. Communism would work if just given a chance and done properly. The Social Security Trust Fund holds actual assets that will keep the program solvent until 2048.
The modern liberal, generally overeducated beyond repair, will die before giving up his illusions. His greatest fear is being proven wrong by current events - because his entire sense of self-worth is based upon his delusional sense of intellectual superiority to those lowbrow red-state rubes and grubby, greedy businessmen.
If just given the chance, he would make us all equal, but he of course would be slightly more equal than us because of the burdens of applying his wondrous intellect for our mutual benefit. He would give us all jobs and free health care and universal education, and if we didn't appreciate his munificence, he'd throw us in the gulag (for the greater good of a utopian society). And since democracy and markets don't properly recognize his worth, he seeks to marginalize or outlaw those as well, and then re-write history to cover up his malfeasance.
That is what we are facing in the modern liberal - unlike his predecessors, he does not seek the reigns of government to solve pressing societal problems - he instead seeks power so he can try again to prove himself to be superior in virtue and intellect, despite the vast body of evidence that clearly indicates that his methods cannot and will not work and instead make the very problems he seeks to address even worse. And this is why they get more and more absurd with each passing day - because the only way they can persist in their ways is to shout down, demonize or ignore opposing viewpoints.

At times, they HAVE to make acknowledgments that they were lied to (Bill Clinton DID have sex with Monica) but then they seek solace in a hastily prepared talking point explaining why this isn't such a big deal despite their repeated defense of the man that he was completely innocent of the charge.
