there=their. Sorry.
I'm surprised you haven't been exiled to St. Helen's for such an egregious error! < /sarchasm[sic] >
Well, it looks like they're still raising money for Undie. It appears that $25,000 will only pay for half of the surgery, and then Undie is going to need additional $$$$ while he recuperates. They're still urging people to give.

Here is post #48, courtesy of DUmmie "flyarm". Flyarm makes reference to someone named "Beth" (who I'm guessing could be sfexpat2000):
Here's one of the posts from sfexpat2000 (who identifies herself as "Beth"). I see subsequent posts stating that Undie needs the other $25,000 in about two weeks. Still no mention re: WHEN the surgery is supposed to occur:
Good question. WHEN??? No one in DUmmieland seems to have the least bit of curiosity as to the answer to that even though it is supposed to be an emergency.
Uh-huh, $25,000 isn't enough; the DUmmies are going to continue the fund-raiser for the DUmmie Andy Stephenson indefinitely.
By the way, I noticed something while tracking all the other web-sites with solicitations for the DUmmie Andy Stephenson (solicitations which have been going on since January), and perhaps the Grand DUmmie "Skinner" can learn from the example.
Among those web-sites legitimately representing the Democratic Party (the party as a whole, rather than single-issue web-sites or "activist" web-sites), there was a mention of his alleged illness and the suggestion that those who wish, should send him a "get-well" greetings-card.
In other words, no suggestions about sending him money.
And interestingly, the boring DUmmie PUnidiot "William Pitt," in his own appeals for money for the DUmmie Andy Stephenson, asked that such contributions be sent not to this "Beth" character (the one who started the fund-raising drive, the DUmmie "sfexpat"), but through.....the PDA (Progressive Democrats of America).
Hmmm. Why not directly, rather than through the boring DUmmie PUnidiot "William Pitt"--
This all stinks to me; not least because if I had serious problems with the pancreas, and no health insurance, and the local Department of Social Services offered to have something done about it, I would take whatever the local Department of Social Services offered me, and right away, no quibbles.
Time is of essence in such problems; this is usually something that has to be tended to immediately.....but here we have something that has been going on for more than four months.
Most of the DUmmie ant-farm antics are as if viewing a half-hour comedy show on television; I suspect this is going to go on for some time, as if watching an entire season of a half-hour comedy show, with some rather, uh, unexpected twists and turns.
I am sure that when this is all said-and-done, perhaps about July or August, when the DUmmies realize they have been flummoxed again, when the Grand DUmmie "Skinner" realizes that others are using his web-site for their own selfish reasons, that P.J. will manage to make an entire long chapter in his book.
I thought the $25,000 was supposed to be paid to Johns Hopkings TODAY. It now looks like Undie's allies are making excuses as to why the payment hasn't been made.
[And interestingly, the boring DUmmie PUnidiot "William Pitt," in his own appeals for money for the DUmmie Andy Stephenson, asked that such contributions be sent not to this "Beth" character (the one who started the fund-raising drive, the DUmmie "sfexpat"), but through.....the PDA (Progressive Democrats of America).]
Yes, wouldn't it be more EFFICIENT to funnel all contributions to one place, so it would be easier to track how much has been received?? One wonders if the contributions for Andy sent to PDA might be ...um... diverted to other purposes. All for the "common good", of course.
One of the things I found amusing, at the very BEGINNING, was how the DUmmie "sfexpat2000" went on and on about how this "wonderful person" got the DUmmie Andy Stephenson into Johns Hopkins.
Uh.....
I am assuming anyone with a legitimately serious medical problem would somehow manage to get into Johns Hopkins, if he wished to be served at Johns Hopkins. A referral from his physician, usually.
So this "wonderful person" possibly made a couple of telephone calls, and presto!.....problem solved, at least in the diminuitive DUmmie mind. It's all okay now, it's copacetic, our DUmmie Andy Stephenson got into Johns Hopkins.....
Well, I could probably "get" P.J. into the best whorehouse in New York City--but the deal is, P.J. if so inclined could probably get into the best whorehouse in New York City on his own.....and just because I "got" P.J. into the best whorehouse in New York City.....does not mean the same thing as I'm picking up the tab, or part of the tab, myself.
The DUmmie in charge of the "thermometer" at some point changed the "goal" from $25,000 to $50,000--the thread is so long now that if one has "dial-up" (which I do, it takes about 40 minutes to finish loading).
It looks as if the Grand DUmmie "Skinner," the Assistant Grand DUmmie "Elad," and the Second Assistant Grand DUmmie "EarlG," are getting cold feet--despite the protestations of the DUmmies, they refuse to allow another thread.
Which makes sense--although the original allowance of just one thread (by the Second Assistant Grand DUmmie "EarlG;" I am sure the Grand DUmmie "Skinner" and the Assistant Grand DUmmie "Elad" were appalled when they came back to the office, and learned what their protege had done)--was perhaps a mistake.
Imagine what Free Republic would be like, if every confidence man, every flim-flam artist, every medicine-show hustler, every quack, every sham, were allowed free rein to raise funds here.
I also noticed among the later responses some hints that Johns Hopkins, despite not taking medicaid payments, does have some charity available--but of course the DUmmies are having none of that. They want $$$$, not services.
One wonders why.
Also, very peculiarly, although there are responses from the DUmmie Andy Stephenson, these responses are silly in nature (silly song ditties and the like), at nowhere in the thread are expressions of gratitude from the DUmmie Andy Stephenson.
It's like he's "entitled" to it, so why give thanks?
The DUmmies have two weeks to raise another $25,000.....but one suspects they have not, really, raised the first $25,000 yet.
Well, I *WAS* about to log off and shut down for the night, but then I ran across this:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=213x520
Now the DUmmies are auctioning off a trip to Key Largo to benefit Undie:
I don't know about New York but I did actually have a relative, I think it was my father's grand-aunt, who did run the best whorehouse in Chicago. It was in the early 20th century. I once saw a History channel History of Sex episode and they were talking about high class whorehouses in Chicago of that era and I think they talked about my great grand-aunt's whorehouse. BTW, she RAN the place. She wasn't a whorehouse worker.
Probably because they are wondering why Johns Hopkins has NOT received that first $25,000 yet. It will be fun reading the excuses over there as to why that has not happened. Let's see. Yesterday it was because the "money lady" at Johns Hopkins wasn't around. What will be today's excuse? That the bag man delivering the money missed his bus?
Theres a difference between terrorists and Republicans. In their minds, terrorists don't deserve it but Republicans do.
Undie sort of looks like Chris Matthews. I guess its just the liberal look.
Sounds like there could be something illegal going on here.
So probably the "rest of the story" will henceforth come out in bits and pieces, scraps of threads in DUmmieland.
As I said, it is like watching a comedy unfold.
It will be funny to read their excuses as to why the money hasn't been delivered to Johns Hopkins today. Will they claim that the "money lady" was on a lunch break?
