Ted Kennedy remembers Abu Ghraib, but not the death he caused.

Ted Kennedy is like a bad case of athlete's foot, just when you think it's gone, it pops up like a stalker in the bushes. Teddy wrote an essay on this day, one year after the Abu Ghraib news hit the stands.

First off, I do not condone torture of any kind, and clearly some of the things that happened in Abu Ghraib were not kosher under the Geneva Convention or the rules and regulations of the US armed forces. This is war, and ugly things happen in war. It is not right, it was not our policy, and people have been punished for their behavior, but instead of looking forward to the progress that has been made in Iraq, Teddy decided to commemorate the day by opening old wounds.

Why is it that Teddy Kennedy chooses to speak out one year after Abu Ghraib, without ever looking at the big picture in Iraq? I guess Teddys glass is always half-empty.

No, Teddy's glass is always completely empty. He always finishes his drinks before hitting the road. =P

Poor ole' Teddy. I remember the day I was flying into Boston, listening to air-traffic-control (on United) and the pilots were talking about some plane that went down off of Nantucket Island. At the time, I did not know about the tragedy of young Kennedy. It was news when I arrived in Boston.

I had planned to vist Nantucket that trip, but no way. The island was COVERED with media folks, boats, Coast Guard, helicopters, etc. But what sticks in my mind, were the news chopper scenes (live) of what was going on, on the island. I remember watching Teddy, yes big, fat, white haired Teddy running around on the island (the Kennedy family has a complex there) followed by a chasing team of reporters and lackies. He was trying to get the bodies claimed and CREMATED as quickly as possible. There was much speculation as to WHY the Kennedys were so interested in seeing the bodies destroyed so quickly. There still remains much speculation as to how the accident really happened...and what evidence may have been covered up, etc.

Yes, old Teddy, I will never forget those scenes and the implications...seems like that family, like the Clintoni mob, just cannot get away from dying people. In spite of their turbulent life-style, Teddy keeps working hard to maintain the socialist, anti-American rant that keeps getting him re-elected in Massachusetts...it is ALL ABOUT POWER AND CONTROL with the radical left.

Why would Ted Kennedy have anything to say about torture and inhumane activity towards others. When is this man going to be held accountable for his actions in 1969? When will Mary Kopekne's name be shouted from the halls of congress? Senator Kennedy has been allowed to puff up and shout his two faced rhetoric for years without one conservative standing up and saying "what about Mary Jo", that is all it would take. This man is a joke and a murderer, liar, hypocrite, deceiver, the list goes on.

From Teddy's statement: "Top officials in the Administration have endorsed interrogation methods that we've condemned in other countries, including binding prisoners in painful 'stress' positions, threatening them with dogs, extended sleep deprivation, and simulated drownings."

Mary Joe Kopechne could not be reached for comment...

The 'so called' news type people NEVER ask him one question, ever, about the death at the bridge with the young girl, N-E-V-E-R.
