It is time that someone went nuclear on a few Freepers around here. When I joined FR back in 1998, we use to kick asses and take names, but now I feel like I am on the internet's version of the UN in some ways, talking about bolting and losingn in Washington. I am seeing post from people who are whining about an AP piece on Frist striking a deal with Reid on our stalled conservative nominees, rather than whine, why are we not using our tools to express our anger Rush, Hannity, Liddy, FoxNews and so forth. I have been in these Congressperson's offices and they do listen. We should not be expressing our on FR but get out there and phone, fax and email them and be ready to combat groups like MoveOn.

Sorry for the rant but it is time for some tough love around here and a reminder of how we use to fight these clowns tooth and nail. Rove said no deal and lets back him and the President up.

Just called Sen McCain's office and educated his staffer on the 'Constitutional Option'....I said I was disturbed that the Senator didn't seem to understand what the Constitution requires.

I added him that McCain is aiding & abetting the media & Dems in trying to obstruct the responsibility of the Senators to VOTE.

I said he should sit down with Frist and work with other GOP Senators in getting the nominees to the floor of the Senate for an up or down vote.

The staffer admitted that he didn't fully understand what was at stake.....it's amazing that he's answering the phone....and is confused on what the Constitution actually states!

I have already sent a scathing letter to Bill Frist - while the language was clean except for the word "damn" I did not say "damn you" in the letter.

For Republicans to make a "deal" with Reid at this point is like telling the dems - okay - go ahead and pull the rug out from under us - we're too stupid to do our job. I didn't say that to Frist - but I was thinking it. It's so frustrating. BUT .. I just heard Rush say that Frist has said - NO DEAL. Whew!! Now FOX is saying Frist has rejected the democrats deal. I think I need to send Frist a nice letter - or maybe I should just wait until the nominees finally get approval.

And now .. there's this stinking amendment SA399 by Kerry/Dorgan to HR-1268 - to shut down the Cisneros investigation - because the report is about to come out and there is a whole bunch of nasty stuff about a lot of Clinton people and the democrats want to STOP the funding for the report of this investigation.

ABUSE OF POWER - that's what the dems are acusing the repubs of doing over this judicial stuff - and here are the sneaky dems quietly - UNDERCOVER - using their power in the senate to keep a bad report about Clinton people from becoming public. Talk about ABUSE OF POWER !!!!

When Tony Snow grilled George Allen yesterday - George appeared not to know anything about it - but when pressed by Tony - George agreed that the public had A RIGHT TO KNOW.

YOU'RE DARN TOOTIN' THE PUBLIC HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT'S IN THAT REPORT!! I'm so angry over this - I could spit nails. We've been waiting over 5 years for some of this corrupt junk to be exposed and we cannot allow the dems to keep this hidden.

Roger Hedgecock is currently in Washington D.C. with one of his famous "Hold Their Feet to the Fire" trips - and since he's my local talk show guy - I've sent him a copy of the amendment and hopefully Roger will check it out.

When I joined FR back during the recount days certain freepers posted email addys of all the congresscritters as well as phone and fax numbers.
Certain freepers posted links to websites where people who didn't have fax machines could go and send faxes to congress.
I was burning up my keyboard here sending emails to every congressman and senator in DC. I was sending emails everyday.
And after the recount was over we kept doing it. Freepers were posting for real activism. That's what this site is about.

TBM Is right! We Need to get back to doing that!
After all, That is who we are! We made a big difference. We still do.
