Office XP Pro Question

I just installed Office XP Pro. I've searched for the toolbar to put on my desktop and can't locate it.

I've already tried Programs > Microsoft Office Tools, and found nothing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

TOPICS: Computers/Internet
KEYWORDS: toolbar

Place your Office CD back in and modify it. Make sure that you right-click the Office Tools button and chose "Run all from computer."

You lost me on the 'modify it'. When I right click the Office tools button, in Programs, I don't get the "Run all" option, Just, "Open, Explore, ..."

per help:
On the Microsoft Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar.

or, you can put 'em on the Quick launch bar &/or Start menu

Microsoft Office Shorcut Bar isn't an option. Will I need to uninstall the program and reload it?

Okay. My mistake. I was doing it from memory.

Run setup again, and choose "Add or Remove Features". From there, you should see a + sign to the left of "Office Tools". Click that and you'll see down the list "Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar". Left-click that, and choose "Run all from My Computer." Let the setup then complete the job.

That should do the trick.

I've had trouble gettin 'em in past & suggest the following (either)

1. on start menu >>launch your Office application, then from recent entries on start menu, drag n drop to area above that...or
2. on quick launch> Rt click on bottom task bar > toolbars >new toolbar & browse to C:\program..\MSoff|Offic..10\shortcut bar

I'm assuming it's because of Microslop's anti-spy software which I mostly like; plus AVG plus Norton System Works . . .

but especially it seems that when a scan is being done--the cursor in these FR posting windows--well--the text can take 30-90 seconds to show up on the screen after being typed.

Real annoying.

I suppose I could uninstall some of the programs. But I like different features on all of them.

Any brilliant suggestions for this vet??? Sure appreciate your bother.

And knowledge!
