The claim that Jews have a secret plan to rule the world was popularized by a 100-year-old book called "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." The book allegedly was a transcript of a secret conference of Jewish leaders. While the notion of a Jewish conspiracy has long been discounted, the idea refuses to go away. A new book seeks to debunk the myth once and for all. "The Lie That Wouldn't Die" reveals that the man behind "The Protocols" was a Russian secret agent who plagiarized the text from a book of imaginary dialogues written nearly half a century earlier.
London, 11 March 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Book launches in Britain don't often take place in the halls of the British parliament, in the presence of a number of its members.
But that's exactly what happened earlier this week with the English-language publication of "The Lie That Wouldn't Die." The book authoritatively debunks the myth of a Jewish conspiracy to rule the world.
That belief was based on a 100-year-old book called "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," which was translated into many languages and used to justify the murders of Jews in tsarist Russia and in the Nazi Holocaust.
James Clappison, who heads the Parliamentary Committee Against Anti-Semitism, organized the book launch. "Well, sad to say that some of the lies and some of the material which are dealt with so effectively in ['The Protocols of the Elders of Zion'] are still current today," Clappison said. "And I am afraid we can have no complacency about nailing them down [as false] as many times as we have to. It's sad to say that there are still today some extremist forces who peddle these sort of lies for their own perverted ends."

There may be a new book about it, but I've been reading about the French satirist, Napoleon II, etc. for at least 20 years.
Yeh we have a few. Most of the current ones are more underground but the real danger is in this anti-war movement and the people it has thrown up. They blend leftism with Palestine with propaganda and come up with a nice big conspiracy to spoon feed people who have little idea about politics or the world.
BTW When I say we have a few I mean anti-semities not Fords. His factory was pumping out cars in Nazi Germany until 1942. Apparently a quarter to third of military cars were Ford.
Truly disturbing to me has been the appearance of the lies from "The Protocols..." essentially verbatim on various East and Southeast Asian forums. Most people in that part of the world have never heard of "The Protocols ..." and have poor knowledge of European history. So when such rubbish gets passed around the web by Islamonazis and PRC bootlickers, the hapless netizens accept it uncritically and, to use a recently misused phrase, start becoming, IN FACT, little Eichmans!
Absolutely that is the problem with these conspiracy sites. If you have no idea about history or politics and are naive then these sites can be pretty convincing.
I went over to Amazon.com to see if they sell this POS "book." Indeed they do, though the site has a lengthy disclaimer about how "Protocols" is propoganda, helped justify the Holocaust, but free speech is free speech, etc. While I am generally opposed to censorship, in this case I might be inclined to make an exception. Of course the Zionists want to put down and criticize this book. Whether a true record of what took place in those meetings or not, the truth is right there in front of your face.
This tome clearly spells out the holohoax and the Jewish plan to implement same as the crux of their plan. If no one can criticize them (witness laws in Canada and Europe - what other event/group has this kind of protection?) because of worldwide guilt for the oft-mentioned but never substantiated 6 million, they can move unopposed in their plans.
Ask yourself one question: Why, when schools, police forces, libraries and every other AMERICAN government funded institution is in dire straights, are we supplying the Israelis with $10B a year? Why do we fight their wars for them? (What war?? How about Iraq!)
It was true then, it's true now. Never again? Never happened.
If this book were only read nowadays by people with an interest in the history of anti-Semitism or propaganda, it wouldn't be much of a problem. BUt the sad truth is, these lies still are inspiring hatred in this country, not to say anything of what impact "Protocols" is having in the Muslim world.
Not sure why anybody needs to buy a copy of this book nowadays. It is freely available on the web. I took a look at it and it is not much to write home about.
"Protocols of the Elders of Zion" is one of the most ugliest (although by no means the only one) pieces of Judeophobic literature. Another painful thing for me--a Russian Immigrant with partial Jewish background--that it came out of Russia. It's painful to realize for me that the very country that gave the world Tolstoy, Chekhov, Dostoyevsky and Chaikovskiy also gave the world one of the most virulent forms of antiSemitism, Bolshevism, GULAG and other horrible incarnations of world evil, but facts are facts and I am not willing to hide from them. I think it's important that the book debunking these outrageous antiSemitic lies is being published in Britain that along Continental Europe is currently facing a new upswing of antiSemitism disguised as "antiIsraelism" or "antiZionism". Today modern antiSemitism largely comes from Leftist "Liberals" (often repackaged Socialists or Communists) that dominate Academic and Intellectual Life of "Old" Europe and to a lesser extent that of America. Another major source of antiSemitism of course is Islamonazis and their Leftist supporters. Their vile anti-Israel and essentially anti-Jewish propaganda surely must be vigorously challenged.
However, I'm a bit skeptical that publication of this book can really discredit antiSemitism once and for all. One of the most prominent Russian Jewish Zionist leaders Yakov (Zeev) Jabotinsky said famously: "We [the Jews] are not disliked because we are villified. We are villified because we are disliked." In other words, in place of "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" something else is or will be invented by antiSemites and they always find a sympathetic audience around the world.
Furthemore, Dennis Prager and Joseph Telushkin in their book "Why the Jews ? The reasons for AntiSemitism" convincingly showed that the hatred of Jews is first and foremost is the hatred of the values Jews brought to this world--ethical monotheism demanding belief in one Universal Absolute God that in turn demands strict morality between people, the historical challenge that classical Jewish worldview presented to Gentile values, etc.
It's essential for the safety and well-being of American and the World Jewry and Western Civilization in general, that America remains firmly committed to Judeo-Christian principles. That's why it's extremely important to defeat Intellectual and Political leftists trying to remake America in their own image. Britain and Europe also need to reclaim the best of their Judeo-Christian heritage lest they not go down the drain and become the provinces of Totalitarian Islam. However, the ultimate insurance against violent organized antiSemitism is a strong, vigorous and self-sufficient Jewish state of Israel that can protect itself and its citizens without any apology and is always ready to become a refuge for the world Jewry against antiSemitic attacks.
Britain and Europe also need to reclaim the best of their Judeo-Christian heritage lest they not go down the drain and become the provinces of Totalitarian Islam.

I am hoping that a Conservative government can help acheive this. Elections are on May 5th and things are starting to hot up but it is too close to call right now.
Good luck with elections. I visited UK twice in 2000 and 2001 (prior to 9-11). I am a bit Anglophil knowing and appreciating how much Britain contributed to the World Democratic institutions. I would hate to see if UK and the Continental Europe will fully become the playground of Islamonazis and their sympathizers from Intellectual Left (until Islamonazis no longer need Leftist support and will have them slaughtered as Infidels or forcibly converted to their brand of Islam).
Also if you are concerned about articles appearing on FR attacking British academics who promote anti-Semitism, don't take it as anti-British campaign. It was an attack on British Intellectual Anti-Semites who are ultimately against the best of Britain. American Intellectual leftists are no less dangerous and they are justifyingly attacked too on the articles posted on FR.

Thank you for your post. I understand that people have worries about Britain (I know I certainly do!) and the great majority of Freepers articulate their arguements well. I wish there was more good news to link to but with the elections coming up everyone and everything is ata stand still.
If there is a hung parliament then it might cause more trouble than if Labour get re-elected(with a smaller majority they will have to more ever leftward to get votes in parliament). I am hoping for a Conservative victory and would be interested to see UKIP get a few seats if only to send a message to the political elite about Europe.

Trouble is, the Protocols have been debunked and debunked and debunked and debunked. Anti-semites don't care about the truth -- they dismiss anything that doesn't reinforce their hatred as just more "Jewish lies." They hate Jews because they enjoy hating Jews. Exposing the truth (yet again) doesn't change that.
Sadly, the US once again repeats this mistake with it's "blind eye" approach to US HQ'd companies who sell in and source from the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (AKA The 4th Reich). Thomas L. Friedman is the most self hating and suicidal of the naive self hating suicidal Jews. He is a complete disgrace. Flat World my arse!
