There are some things Dems & others can do, know what to focus on, don't splinter over HOW to get things done, focus on your goals. Start thinking on a larger scale. Paved roads, food security, clean water, clean air, good paying jobs; the real challenge is getting people together who feel better off fighting only for their own interests. We need a leader who can connect diverse groups of people & make them both feel & be stronger. We also need milestones along the way, so people don't feel they've accomplished nothing & get burned out. Working on a dual scale, aiming for the long term goals while gaining other victories along the way.

A brilliant strategy, but Reagan was the last to do it. Certainly not one the Dems have tried since Kennedy. The scary thing is, Hillary may be the one who tries it next, although she will be a complete phoney doing it since Hillary does not believe in the American dream, but in a government solution of massive wealth distribution.

I think the DUmmie was referring to Bob Novak. Anyway the REASON why CNN picked both Novak and Carlson to be the conservatives on their Crossfire show is that they searched out the two most loathsome conservatives out there so as to undermine the conservative cause. Novak puts on a toughguy bulldog act but reading about him, he is also not a very likeable guy. Novak is the type that if you were drowning and he had a life preserver, he MIGHT toss the life preserver to you but not after bitching and groaning about having to get it wet.
