The question is who could have saved her but didn't. Rightly or wrongly, those politicians who did not save her will forever be seen as calculating, untrustworthy, and even cowardly.

Under this rationale, any person with adequate weaponry is culpable for not using force to save her life. How many guns do you own? Why didn't you act? Very easy to cast stones when the blame is shifted outward.

Jeb Bush has the constitutional authority, under Florida's constitution, to order the local police to stand down while DCF takes this woman into custody. It is not simply a question of guns or force. It will increasingly become so when constitutional authority refuses to take action that individual citizens have to take up arms to protect themselves. We retain the natural, God-given, right to self-defense.

Hogwash. Elected officials swear to uphold the Constitution--even when that requires them to recognize and overcome judicial tyranny. Courts that cannot apply common sense and equity to the written law but that at other times find penumbras and emanations everywhere they look are nothing but unelected politicians in robes.

When such courts order death to an innocent, it is the duty and responsibility of elected officials to challenge such courts and their rulings even to the point of using force to prevent what is murder.
