It is hard to think of a situation in recent times, with the exception of the events of September 11, 2001, that has drawn as much attention as the plight of 41-year-old Terri Schiavo. At the time of this writing, the appellate court in Atlanta, by a vote of 2 to 1, voted not to reinsert Terri Schiavo's feeding tube, and the family is moving to appeal that decision to the supreme court.
In the current round of legal proceedings, constant references are being made, both by the media and others, about the "feeding tube" that was keeping her alive. It is constantly being said that the feeding tube has been removed and the argument, both in Congress and the courts is whether or not the tube should be reinserted to allow Schiavo to continue to live.
But none of the decisions of the courts make any mention of "a feeding tube". For example, the last decision that was made by Judge George W. Greer of the Circuit Court of Pinellas County, Florida, on February 25 that led to the last removal of Ms. Schiavos feeding tube, read in part as follows:
"Therefore it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that absent a stay from the appellate courts, the guardian, MICHAEL SCHIAVO, shall cause the removal of nutrition and hydration from the ward, THERESA SCHIAVO, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2005." [Emphasis added]
The court order doesnt just require that the feeding tube be removed it orders that Terri Schiavo be deprived of all food and water. . . . .

"The decision of the Florida court is not the equivalent of "pulling the plug". If someone needs mechanical assistance to breathe and the ventilator is removed, it is not unusual for some patients to start to breathe on their own. To compare the situation that Terri Schiavo is in with someone who is on a ventilator would be the equivalent of the ventilator being removed, the person starting to breathe on their own and then requiring that they be smothered because the court has ordered that they not be given any air. What is truly amazing is that there has been virtually no mention in the massive media coverage about the prohibition against all food and water. All that is discussed is the feeding tube."
Judge Greer is a murderer who has ordered something Terri never requested. Removing a tube is not the same as not eating!!
I guess starvation is considered more "compassionate" than killing her from dehydration by the MSM spin doctors. How utterly vile!
In short, Michael Schiavo is going to be responsible for killing Terri and should be brought up on charges once she is dead.

Ping...
"...but by golly they do everything in their power to protect a mass murdering terrorist or child molester...."
Good point. Has Greer ever issued any say of execution during his reign? Even if it was one, that's more than he's granted Terri. Damn him to he!!.
Exactly.
Pull feeding tube and not allow any ingestion by mouth?
Death by starvation via heartless, gutless disgusting POS black robed hypocrites. Twisted justice on display.
She could eat by mouth, but then her husband wouldn't be able to kill her. It's the only way he can get away with it. That's why he refused to let them feed her normally.
But.....her important medical records are in the hands of her deadly husband, so the court will never see them.
In her condition, if she were given anything orally, she would either choke on it or aspirate it into her lungs.
Very interesting, thanks for the ping. I wonder if this is technically in violation of FL statutes which allow removal of so-called life support.
And she'd be dead a lot quicker and more mercifully. What's the bad here exactly?
Three nurses who cared for Terri have given the courts signed affidavits saying she can be fed by mouth. Greer didn't want to hear it, and dismissed their claims.
Now, now. Her husband didn't want her fed that way. He said she could choke and die!
And never forget the "Mainstream Media" part in this.
After observing how the "media" has lied about Terri's situation...I will no longer call them MSM...I will now call them MSP...they have systematically tried to ram the Culture of Death doctrine down the throats of Americans...Propagandist...plain and simple.

It's not bad per say, but it's not what the parents want.
