"On what basis would either of them do this? "
On the basis that the Governor of a State or the President of the United States has a duty to protect innocent life.
On the basis that the power of the courts does not supercede the power of the other branches of government.
The Congress and President have concurred in legislation calling for a new look at the facts in the case, anticipating an injunction to replace the feeding tube until the facts could be heard. The courts have refused.
How will the MSM play it? How did they play Waco? Or Elian Gonzales? This would certainly be a milder use of police power than either of those, and others of the Clintonista regime . . .
Do you not see danger here? This issue is bigger than one person. I'm very frightened by this.
Clinton could get away with it because the MSM represents this mentality. They would crucify Bush. And I wish he'd do it.
The executive branch has the duty to enforce the law.
Why does that matter to you, or us?
How did they play Waco? Or Elian Gonzales?
They played it like they play everything and anything that someone on "their side" of an issue does...as a good and necessary and justifiable action, not to be questioned or investigated.
This would certainly be a milder use of police power than either of those, and others of the Clintonista regime . . .
Three wrongs don't make a right. Although I believe that Terri should have been either provided the proper treatment necessary for a handicapped person *or* turned over to her parents custody *or* criminal investigation of Michael Scaivo *or* all three...a police action would be both validation of Waco/Elian and set the precedent for future actions whenever the Dems fool the electorate once again and re-capture the White House.
