You forgot this: < /sarcasm >
I will be greatly disappointed by their inaction to save Terri. It is always sad to see those we perceive as good men, not stand up to the evil they can stop. I will still consider them good men.
Piffle.
Then do a bad job. I do every day!
Life goes on. :)
And Terri can be saved by Executive Order of Jeb Bush.
He doeos not want this death on his resume.
Like hell they have. There are PLENTY of precedents for them to use force or authority to stop this crime.
This is a state sanctioned MURDER based on hearsay from a man with totally conflicting interests in her well being.
I think about this case and I think "I joined to the Marines and put my ass on the line in the Gulf to protect THIS ?"
MY belief in the United States dies when this woman dies.
I am not a boy. :-)
"If you 'allow' Terri to die, you will indeed be her chief executioner." Uh, check your facts before fumbling the ball.
Alan Keyes is FReepin' LOSER!!! How many times does the fool have show he's about worthless as tits on boar hog before you and his "many" other supporters accept him for what he is - a LOSER!?!
It is beginning to look as though right may not be done in Terri's case.
I disagree with this statement as strongly as possible as fact and with the vitriolic tone the entire article uses to express the understandable frustration of this tragic circumstance. The courts are prime here and that needs to be corrected.
Having said that, It appears that this is indeed coming down to the point where action by the Governor will be the last opportunity to stop the starvation of Terri. I do believe there are legal avenues Jeb Bush can take and they are filled with legal and political exposures. Never the less they are there. I also believe he will risk his political future and step in when he is finally forced to do so.
As chief executive of a coequal branch of Florida government I think the legal exposure is minimal though it may take the "courts" a while to reach the right conclusion.
As far as the political exposure goes, I believe Jeb Bush will take that risk because I believe his heart will lead him and his faith will protect him.
Let's keep our pressure on Jeb Bush civil and reasonable and in the form of pleas to do the right thing.
Let's also begin at last to insist our elected representative both executive and congressional begin NOW to reverse the slide of our country toward judicial dictatorship where our basic values are destroyed by activist "judges" who put themselves above the intent of the law and such as the ACLU bent on destruction of all moral connection we have to our government.
