I too see that the analogy seems a bit much.
But I also see an innocent person being killed. I see people who on one side give a thumbs up and on the other side a thumbs down as far as the question of life. I see people in power saying who can be killed and others following their orders. I see other people in power washing their hands of the situation. I see still more powerful people calling for death for their own political purposes. I see a family grieving and powerless to stop the murder. I see a person who is being put through a painful and horrid death. I see someone who once was supposed to love the person being killed turn on the person to be killed.
I happen to be seeing this all before Easter. Hmm.
While not necessarily in this case, I don't always have a problem with that happening.
You're only supposed to consider how this affects the GOP's future. If saving this woman's life will cost some votes, well, she'll just have to be collateral damage in the all important political wars. We must keep our prioties in order, don't you know.
