The Senate has acted. As I understand it, if there is a single objection, the House cannot act on a non-legislative day. Sunday is such a day. Monday is not.

I understand that that is the reason the House will pass the Schaivo bill tomorrow morning, a minute past midnight. The President will be immediately available to sign the bill into law. I further understand that federal courts are standing by to accept a complaint based on this new law.

So, if events go as apparently planned, the law will be in effect, and a federal court order will be entered, and Terri Schaivo's feeding tube will be reinstalled, all before dawn tomorrow morning.
