As to why I want to see her dead: for the same reason I would want my wife to pull my feeding tube in the same situation. 15 years is long enough to see any signs of recovery. Let my soul (if you believe in it) free and not condemn me to 15 years in a bed. I would want my wife and family to get on with their lives. I wouldn't want to prolong their burden. I would want my wife to remarry and for my kids to grieve, bury me and then get on with things.
The dispense of expensive Medical resources requires triage. There are other people, with better chances of recovery and a normal life, that deserve that bed and those nurses.
If I am ever in that situation I sure hope you people will stay the hell out of my life and let the person I married make the decision.
If those are your wishes then put it in writing.
