I couldn't agree more. I am so sick of hearing the lies of the media, and even seeing Freepers spouting off about her being "brain dead" when they obviously have not a clue about the truth.
This has been a very frustrating day, and hearing that evil b@stard Felos this afternoon, really put me over the top.
Thanks for posting this.
It seems strange to me that before killing someone on death row, they are entitled to endless appeals. But to kill Terri, all they need is for her ex-husband to say, "yeah she wants to die, yeah that's the ticket."
Hey, calm down. 99% of us are on Terri's side and KNOW she's not vegetative.
I just shouted at some woman talking on Fox about Terri being in a coma for the past 15 years!! She was corrected that she was not in a coma, then she says, okay persistant vegetative state.........GRRRRRRRRR. If these people don'e know anything about the case, they need to stay off TV.
AMEN!
I have heard it on the news numerous times as well. While at work today, I was lurking here, and someone posted, "would you want to subject your family to years of seeing you like that". (paraphrasing).
All I can say to that is, I know how I wanted to hold on to my daddy, who was dying of cancer about this time last year. The only thing that allowed me to let go was know that he was in pain. Terri is not in pain. I would give anything to have my dad back, for the rest of my life, if he were in the condition Terri is in, where there's still hope! Same goes for the rest of my immediate family members, if they were in that situation.
This is a travesty, and my wish is for Terri's (former, as far as I'm concerned) husband Michael is to spend his final days starving to death, so he can see how "painless" it is.
Choose life.
I think some big bruisers with big baseball bats need to go and beat MS and his fag lawyer and show them what a vegetative state REALLY looks like!
Your sense of humor leaves something to be desired.
But where is Governor Bush, all of sudden? the presumptive Pres. candidate in the minds of many 'freepers'. Could he pardon her? Could he simply intervene on behalf of the presumption of life, with his own state troopers? Will he simply sit down to a nice dinner with wine, or some 'quiet time' at home, contemplating, cogitating, as Terri suffers because the 'system' is now - right now - denying her food and water, even though the nurses insist her condition is improving, even though everyone well knows she is not some comatose 'mental vegetable'.
100% in agreement!
This is MURDER. She is a living human being tortured to death. hey LIBS! So upset about Abu Grabib? this is what actual torture really is!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? Too busy making sure Guatanomo detainees are entitled to cable TV? Trying to sneak tax hikes into legislation meant to prevent her starvation?
Damn it. I am not one to advocate taking law into own hands on a daily basis but right now I'd defend anyone able to block down that door and hook that tube back up.
What about President Bush? When the courts were trying to decide little Elian Gonzalez' life the Commander in Briefs took action and had his Attorney General send a swat team down to Miami to save him from his evil relatives who wanted to raise the unsuspecting whelp as an American. This judge just called the U.S. House and Senate thugs and told them to "stuff it" more or less.
