People across the nation are contacting the Governor's office encouraging him to utilize the Florida National Guard.
Under provisions of Florida Statute 250.28, the Governor may utilize the guard in order to execute the laws of the state when the local authorities are not able to.
Orders issued by Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer are in clear violation Article I Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Florida.
These orders have created confusion as to what course of action is to be taken by local authorities, and has resulted in a resistance to protecting the rights of Terri Schiavo.
Under Florida Statue 250.28, the Governor is given authority to use the National Guard to prevent resistance to the execution of state laws.

I completely disagree with you. She smiles, she's kissed her father, she cries, she laughs. Hardly reflexes. We were told that my brother would always be in a vegatative status after a skiing injury. He's very functional now. I can't for one instant imagine fighting a spouse who was living with someone else and spending the money for his care on a new family. If this was anything other than with holding FOOD AND WATER from someone, I don't think the emotions would be so high. But it's a violation of her. It is murder, clear and simple MURDER.
Michael Shiavo is a coward who wasn't even there when the feeding tube was removed.
I'm watching the husband's attorney right now, and just feel physically ill.
PLEASE, stop arguing with the death people. It is impossible to get any news out of this thread with all the people opining, same opinions over, and over, and over again. Ignore them and they WILL go away.
Look Buckwheat, I didn't tell you to look at any video. I told you she isn't brain dead.
Since you've accused me of something I didn't say, and at the same time brought up your "expertise" in brain death, which you clearly don't have or you would have never suggested she was clinically brain dead, whiz off.
Bet you were NOT in favor of dumping the the overboard, or fighting an "illegal" Revolution, either. We should have just sent another petition to King George III.
Your qualifications to make this statement are what exactly?
I hope Jeb does something fast. Why don't the federal marshals put her in protective custody? She's been subpoenaed to appear before Congress and is in danger!
>But I think she is in a vegetative state per articles I have read.<
Then please read one more account of Terri's behavior. Then, decide if she's in a vegetative state:

In any case I agree with you that if she is not in a vegetative state just brain damaged she should be kept alive and this is murder.
Do you agree with me that if someone is in an actual vegetative state as diagnosed by doctors that you would be in favor of 'pulling the plug?'

Anarchy and organized rebellion are not the same.
LOL...
The definitive symptom of PVS is that a patient does not respond to their surroundings. Terri definitely responds.

You disagree with what I defined as a vegetative state? Please correct me with a source. Thank you.
Give 'em Hell Xena!
A press release from an interested and involved party is not a legitimate factual source worthy of consideration - sorry. There is no independent verification.
I haven't researched this case and am only familiar with it from recent news coverage. What are her parents claim to any decision making on her behalf? Or are they not claiming to have any role in this and they are just trying whatever they can to keep her alive?
