It's time for a strong (conservative) third party to surface.

I am watching the time as are many others.

We need to get rid of knuckle-headed inside the beltway Senators like Bennett, Hatch, and the old timers, and get more committed soldiers in the Senate like Coleman and some of the other first termers. These guys have balls, and still hold on to principle.

I think it is time for third parties to bet some seats especially the Libertarian and Constitution. The term Republicrat/Demopublican is becoming more true.
I would like to see a minimal Federal Gov't. This includes Congress working part time like in many states. Give more strength to state rights to where the states cannot be coerced by the Fderal Gov't to pass one size fits all laws like speed limits. Let the states collect gas taxes and the Federal Gov't be totally out of road funding and its associated blackmail.
Return the Federal Gov't to its original intended size, print money (instead of the Federal Reserve), provide for common defense and leave everything else to the states. Also, do away with direct election of Senators and once again, let Senators be appointed by the state legislatures.

The only way a third party can succeed is to infiltrate one of the two existing parties. To run as a seperate party is tactically impossible. Third party candidates always loose on a national level. They have few seats at the local level but nationally they will never win.
It has never happened and it never will.

Sadly, that won't happen while conservatives continue to lend blind support to the GOP. The only realistic option is for true conservatives to make a clean break.
