Hancock and his two confreres basically blew off nearly 1900 people, some of us paying $50 a head, to listen to what we thought was going to be "smooth jazz."

I never would have associated Herbie Hancock with "smooth jazz."

The spew we heard last night was just notes in the air.

But, even so, the fact that none of the musicians as much as acknowledged the audience, even after being applauded, leads me to the conclusion they were all blitzed.
