.50 Caliber Terror (Wet panty barf)
.50 Caliber Terror ^ | Recently | Some Idiot

The wet panty liberals have taken the CNN fiction about .50 Caliber Rifles and run with it. Would you believe that they claim a civilian .50 Caliber Rifle can "take down" a airliner?

If you throw the rifle directly into the engine, you probably could.

You'd have to use two rifles, one for each engine. Four if you're talking TWA800.

But, what if you threw it really hard?

Like if Nolan Ryan threw it.

Then what?

You mean to say this shot won't bring down the airliner and kill 5000 people in the airport too?

Dang it, what do I need?

thanks everyone, I about wet my wifes panties laughing at this post, although the 'magic' bullet does have some cnn type appeal, as does the 'decompression' BS that really needs to be raised in the blogs once again...

Re: decompression -

Some years ago, an airliner en route to Hawaii lost an entire 10+ feet of surface (walls & ceiling in front 1/3rd). Other than one stewardess who fell out, the plane landed safely.

A half-inch hole would do little more than make a really annoying whistle.

thats a lie, cnn told me that the entire fuselage will completely disintegrate, and of course that it will affect women & minorities disproportionately...

As an aside, whats the difference between an airliner and a bomber regarding construction and survivability of bullet holes ???

Maybe a good angle to debunk this propaganda, as a .50 could only damage an airliner near the ground, not at altitudes requiring cabin compression...

Regarding post 10, anybody who has studied any military history knows that we had many, many planes in WWII make it home, that avationally [new word] speaking, shouldnt have been able to float, let alone fly...

We need a ban alright. A ban on Congressmen who can't understand, or pretend not to at least, the simple words "the right of the people... shall not be infringed". That's what we need a ban on.

Oh wait, we supposedly have one, it's called their oath of office in which they swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and it's required by the Constitution itself. Judges take the oath too, even BATFE agents take it. Just another example of a "law" that only affects the law abiding, while the criminals, and traitors, ignore it at will.

An AMRAAM or it's ground based equivalent would *probably* do the job. Little old shoulder launched SAM would have to get a very lucky hit to do the job.

How much does the ammo cost?

Won't a .50 shoot 35,000 feet straight up?

Well Ive heard a .22 can kill [ a bull elephant??? ] at over a mile, so mathmatically a .50 only needs to be seven times as powerful to reach its target.

The hard part is making the shot, but in "sniper" configuration, Stevie Wonder could easily do it...

BTW,, any flyboys or engineers here who can answer my post 11 ??? Just what does keep a bomber in the air after being shot up, vs a passenger plane exploding and dropping like a rock with a little hole in it ???

the media needs to know...
