What has got the Untamed Shrew's panties in a wad? Is it that the WHG Press Corps does have a male escort? Or is it that she does not? Nobody of sound mind takes this woman seriously any more. (And I hope there was at least one rational person on with her to take her down a peg or two.)

"We are torturing people,"

No, several individuals were involved in excessive behavior, which is against the rules, and are being punished for it.

" we're outsourcing torture,"

"Outsourcing" is one of those verbs the shallow use to show they're hip.

" the administration is trying to throw journalist in jail"

You mean because they won't cooperate with the investigation of the Plame "scandal"--which YOUR crowd demands be investigated?????

" and basically trying to replace the whole press corps with ringers, including male escorts."

Look on the bright side, at least now you know Gannon is one man who won't leave you, if you pay him enough.

According to the stuff that Rush says about her, a male escort is the only way she has to get a date!

"We are torturing people"

Professionally speaking as a journalist, of course.

That can't be emphasized enough. MoDO's own rag of record, the NYT was demanding an investigation, and a special counsel. Buncha simpletons.

I am confused. Reporters usually support each other about refusing to release information about their 'sources'.

So if it is a liberal cause, don't release your sources, but if helps a liberal agenda, they should release the sources?

For as long as I can remember, the media have always defended "confidential sources." Thus, I was particularly intrigued when the NYT demanded a special counsel when someone "leaked" the information about Valerie Plame. I thought this was foolish because it certainly seemed to involve a "confidential source." I wondered if the NYT and other hag rags really wanted to go down this road. Evidently, they realized too late that they didn't, because it was only a short time after their demand for a "special counsel" that "their" side got ensnared in the investigation that they demanded.

All principles and beliefs of liberals are expendable, if by abandoning those principles and beliefs they can harm their opponents. Thus, if it is expedient to abandon the claim of "confidential sources" to damage an opponent, so be it. The claim of "confidential sources" can be always re instituted later if it is their side in trouble. Laughably though, their short sighted desire for expediencey met up with the swift consequence of reality. Buncha morons!

Poor thing, MoDowd. She's needing a good dose of laudenum, or smelling salts at the very least.

does not Judith Miller work for the Times?

So, Mo Dowd is going against her own compatriot?

I'm only saying that they are not consistent, and they don't always think things through. If a conservative defends the principle of "confidential sources," he will not scream for an investigation if a liberal publishes a leak from a "confidential source." A conservative logically understands that if he demands an investigation when others publish "confidential leaks" that he doesn't much have a leg to stand on when the investigators knock on his own door.
