First, let me say I am a Christian, and am anti-abortion. I have read quite a bit about the Terri Schiavo case and my heart goes out to her and her family, and yes, even her husband.
I'm quite sure I will take a lot of flak for this opinion, as everyone here seems determined to keep this poor woman alive.
It seems no one is sure whether or not she is in a persistive vegetative state, and doctors on both sides are firm in their convictions.
I only know that if it was me, I would, without a doubt, NOT want to be kept alive this way. Terri doesn't have the capability to state what she wants, but had she been if asked the question when she was healthy, (as her husband states) most likely, she would not want these ongoing court battles, the media circus and the heartbreak for all involved. Really, would any of us want that for our families?
I believe in letting her die with dignity. I do not believe it is murder. I have made sure to tell my family members, if this ever happens to me, do not keep me alive in this state.
May God's will be done.
"No, it's in the Supreme Court's hands."
You really believe that?
No, this is not a slippery slope.

Shall we let everyone who cannot feed themselves die?
No, you're not alone. There are lots of us out here. Most people I know with any experience at all with nursing homes, the dying, traumatic brain injuries, and the like would not want the tube replaced next time they change it, and most I've discussed it with are fellow Christians. (The changing of the tube is considered an invasive procedure and can thereby be covered when a patient or relative with power of attorney designates "no invasive procedures.")
I perceive your newly-minted screen name is phoney-baloney religious smokescreen, not fooling many of us.
Why do you feel the need to come up with a "religious-sounding" screenname specifically for this topic? So the rest of us "sheep" may follow you, because you're religious?
Did you go to the Nancy Pelosi School of Propaganda?
Why not post under your regular screen name? Or would that give you away?
Not fooled for a minute.
What has happened to the Sanctity of life?
Two questions here - (in that I have not followed this case all that closely) -
1. Did Terri ever state prior to being in this condition what she would have wanted if she were to ever be in this condition? - I don't mean a living will (per say) - just did she ever express her views to her husband?
2. When you say...Allowed to die? You mean someone should manually remove her feeding tube.
Aren't you also saying though that someone had to put that feeding tube in place (to begin with) and if it were not for man....she would have died by now. Therefore only through the actions of man (not God) is Terri still alive via a feeding tube.
Not trying to argue here simply asking for answers to my first question and thoughts on my second.
God gave you free will. I expect God expects you to use it.
Her husband is TOTALLY uncaring to refuse them that opportunity.
I'd sooner wipe drool from my daughter's mouth than bury her.
Roe v Wade
Can't make up my mind about this one. No, I'm not a fence straddler.
If you are indeed a born-again, spirit-filled Christian, I can only believe that you are ignorant of the facts, or you would change your opinion of Terri's case.
Perhaps this site will clarify what's happening:
http://www.terrisfight.org/
The cause of her condition is suspicious, and starving/dehydrating her to death is unspeakably cruel. The decision to take her life from her should not rest on what you or others would want for yourselves. You're saying that it's okay to deliberately torture her to death so that she won't suffer anymore.
Nope.
By that logic the state can order killed kill all the babies, all the paraplegics and all the amputees who can not feed themselves prior to mans intervention.
If you can't make up your mind, then you DON'T know the TRUTH.
But aren't we doing exactly that in this case - Saying who lives - If it were not for man's involvement (via a feeding tube) Terri would have passed on to God a long time ago.
Also, don't we judge who lives and dies via the death penalty all the time?
