First, let me say I am a Christian, and am anti-abortion. I have read quite a bit about the Terri Schiavo case and my heart goes out to her and her family, and yes, even her husband.
I'm quite sure I will take a lot of flak for this opinion, as everyone here seems determined to keep this poor woman alive.
It seems no one is sure whether or not she is in a persistive vegetative state, and doctors on both sides are firm in their convictions.
I only know that if it was me, I would, without a doubt, NOT want to be kept alive this way. Terri doesn't have the capability to state what she wants, but had she been if asked the question when she was healthy, (as her husband states) most likely, she would not want these ongoing court battles, the media circus and the heartbreak for all involved. Really, would any of us want that for our families?
I believe in letting her die with dignity. I do not believe it is murder. I have made sure to tell my family members, if this ever happens to me, do not keep me alive in this state.
May God's will be done.
I was speaking of me. I really can't do anything else, can I? I certainly have no power over Terri Schiavo.
If that's true, why isn't he in jail? Also, the money is mostly gone, having been used for her care, and he has stated he would dontate it to charity.
You sure as heck are speaking for her.
Now I see your problem, you have no conception of innocence and guilt. The same inane argument made by pro abortionists.
Oh ho, now she has a "right" to die? We are denying her the "right" to die?
This statement places you quite squarely into the heart of the pro-euthanasia movement.
You signed up here as a supposed Christian just today or yesterday and now you're talking about Terri having a right to die? You just earned a new status for me.
Morphine is also currently being used to lower the respiration rate in order to induce respiratory acidosis then death. Physicians just say it's an unavoidable side effect of "easing" a person through a painless death process.
But I knew when I saw they had hooked the morphine to my dad after resolutely refusing to treat his arthritic pain with anything more than Tylenol, that he they had given up on treatment and wanted him dead.
It's on WinAmp. You can go here Interview With Dr. Hammesfahr: Startling Revelations and read some of it.
False.
I'm going to bed. I place fire control in your capable hands, given that we agree on this one. Please commence fire on the pinhead and I'll scout for the wreckage in the morning.
how about a transcript? My computer can't handle an 89 minute download.
Adios.
She'd going to be slowly murdered in cold blood.
The pro-death people really know how to manipulate the language to suck in the gullible, don't they?

I'm not all wrapped up with the idea that my wishes are the most important thing
Which I clarified in my next post, to mean in the situation where I can no longer act on my own behalf, I leave the judgments to those who loved me in life. It's about trust.
I am not ceding any of my liberties today, this whole conversation is in the context that I am incommunicative and without hope.
Don't be obtuse.
Definitely not death by starvation or dehydration.
I have decided that point in the same way. Human life, is life.
Whether in the womb, or on death row.
Many on these threads talk endlessly about the feared culture of death, if this woman dies.
I see that culture everyday. It has been here since our inception as a culture.
It is actually going, not coming.
A summary doesn't do it justice as you can't hear the Drs angst but there is one in post #74 in this thread. Actually, there are 2 summaries if you follow the link in post #247.
I'm not all wrapped up with the idea that my wishes are the most important thing,
Target-rich environment. I look forward to your grouping on this target when I review the carnage tomorrow.
It downloads with DSL in 2 minutes but I understand about touchy computers. Partial transcript in post # 74 and if you follow the top link , there's 2 summaries.
